Audiobahn

The following review is for AW1251J, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

This is the 3rd set of subs i ever had. I had the 15 version tho. I like these to be on 500 watts. I did my first show with these on a small Sony Xplode amp (said 600rms, but i beg to differ it seemed like 900rms or 1k but what do i know) i did a 138.6db (not to shabby) in meca as1@ headrest firing out of the trunk with car sealed (windows & doors shut) & the sub box was sealed (no port) and took 3rd of 7 people, behind a 142.6db (1st) & a 139.3(2nd). If i had a ported box that coulda been a diff story. That was my first show ever after the show i was hooked to car audio. Really wish i could have tried these in a vented box with same amp just for kicks. I recommend these for anyone.

I was a little skeptical with this brand but it surprised me. They look great and sound good. Good bass on a budget.

Good for a starter

The following review is for AW1251J, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

I had a pair of these subs when I first got into car audio. I thought they were killer, but I was just then introduced into car audio. Now after a few systems later I realize that these subs are far from the best. If you're just getting into car audio these will bang enough to please you, but don't expect a long-life span with these if you want to bang the block with them. I banged with them for about a solid year until my Kenwood KAC-9105D finally blew them.

poor quality

Just got these put into a 900 RMS kenwood kac9152. They start popping before I can get my volume up half way or any of the power from the amp going. May be different if I had less RMS amplifier, but these are trash.

no good

sub did not sound good at all... maybe it was because it was in a small sealed box.. so if you do get this product go ported

Pretty good little sub.

One of my buddies has one of these in a tube type box, ported. Sounds pretty good. Sounds clean, hits pretty good. Good sub for a cheap little set up!

Bang for ur buck

I got a couple of these along with a 1200w Rockford amp for $40 from a friend. Along with most Audiobahns, they hit pretty good for what they are but can't alot of frequencies.

Not bad in a nice sealed or slot ported box for a cheap daily driver setup.

Audiobahn gets a bad name, why, I dont know but these entry-level subs are pretty good. I've had them for over 4 years now and had no problem.
They do bang and the price for these subs are great!

not good

Had these subs and they are not good but i sold them for more then i paid for them so that was good. I have 6.5 front speakers with a bigger magnet and voice coil. Honestly there is nothing good about these subs at all they will not hit any thing not even mid bass no matter what you amp them with and they can really mess up your amp once the voice coil blows. I tried using them in a port box to spec tuned to 35hzs and no bump at all.

Pretty ok sub

I had 2 of these subs in a sealed enclosure with a 350-watt Rockford Fosgate amp. After I broke the subs in they really started to pound, so i bridged the amp and they pounded even harder, the only downside to these subs is that they deal out a great deal of distortion on some songs, but other than that they're great!

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I picked up a pair of these at a local audio shop for $100. Figured with the price I didn't expect much but they were amazing. I had them hooked up to a Kenwood KAC-9103d amp it pounded my car. hard as I tried I could not get these subs to miss a single beat.

They are amazing.

good sub

i bought two of these and put them in my 98 s10 blazer and they sounded pretty darn good. very clear good sound quality bass. they were running off a boss rt1045 amp. great for a beginner system, onlw bad thing is the connecting terminals, the screws strip out easily

Can't beat the price

I had these speakers in a small sealed box in the back of my Camaro till I flipped it multiple times. Then put them in a 97 Jimmy with huge ported box, my friend will spend 90$ on some p1's or $120 on some Pioneers. I have him beat by a good amount with $60 Audiobahns that are 5 years old. Right now there hooked up to a 1000 only pushing 185 RMS to each speaker at 4 ohms. I would have them bridged but theres no way since my amp is 2 or 4 ohm operation. I love them, going by these I would hate to see how many windows i would shatter if i got the immortal serious.

easy bang

i bought one of these off my friend for 40 bucks cause he was hard up for cash he paid 120 bucks so i got lucky he had it hooked up to n american legacy LA790 1200 2-ch amp and for this price you can bang easy with no problems he kept under rms running it at 4ohm and like 50to250watts and it was beatin nice it's a must buy i gonna get another one from here!

Best Investment Ever

I want to let every one now to look no further if you are on a tight budget.I have two of these hooked up to a bridged amp pushing about 300 watts RMS.I have it in a sealed box in my single cab FORD. It makes me want to go out and show off and still have some money let in my pocket.Definately the best if you are on a budget.

These Subs Quake

I have 3 of these in my car matched with a 1200 watt alpine amp and the hit harder then some kickers these are good subs for the price you can get them for.

Good sub

My friend has one and mine is coming on Monday, good sounding sub woofer. I will have mine hooked up to a 92 RF Power 800 Amp, so SQ will hopefully be better than these hooked up to my friends Boss amp. His still sounds very very good though, hit nasty lows and crisper highs, not too high but around 500 HZ they still sound clear.

best you'll get for the money

i have three of these in a sealed seperated chamber box with 1.25 ft air space to each. i9 have thrown all kinds of amps at them (audiobahn, boss, kicker, alpine, dhd, and kenwood)they can handle just about anything (within their wattage limit) with no distortion a little low on the looks for audiobahn though. theyre subs are usually more "showy"

best speakers for the value

I have 2 of these in a 99 honda passport and they pound like you would not believe. I am only pushing them 300 watts. Looking to buy a larger amp to push them harder. Buy these, SE has the best deals around.

Bargain, Bargain, Bargain!!!!

Two of these were my first good sounding system, and I paid much more for them, but they were worth. If you feed them at least 250 RMS (each) you will be nothing short of astounded that $45 could go so far!

owned 2 for 6 years

I've owned 2 of these subs for probably going on 6 years now, still same ones, and other than a little rust on the metal face ring, and some scuffs on the surrounds, they hit better than a lot of other woofer's I've heard. Don't know why people think they don't have a good frequency range, I dropped them into a prefab ported box, and they hit EVERY note I want in a 2011 Sentra, they hit perfect in a 93 MX6 too. I'm pushing maybe 600rms to both (300rms a piece) and they hit LOW and HARD! Songs like "Put On" and "Where Is This Going?" hit every note. If you put them in a spec built box they will hit better than most mainstream brands like Alpine, Pioneer, etc. Like I said, 6 years owning them and they handle whatever I throw at them, lows and mids both. For the money, you won't be disappointed. Unless you put them in a crap box to start with.

Bomb sub Best price !

This is a great sub I have 2 of them in a bandpass box being pushed by a 1200 watt amp in the trunk of my Bonneville (witch is a big car) and they rattle the crap out of the poor vehicle. Only downside is that between the box, the thick back seat, and the huge cabin of my car you dont really feel the body shaking imursive bass unless you sit in the back. But you can tell that given the right situation these subs would satisfy most people.I would definitly recommend these subs, but, if you do buy some put it/them in a regular ported box. I've desided on getting a bigger amp and getting 2 12 Audiobahn Eternals and puttin them in the ported Audiobahn box on this site when I get my Grand Prix. I love Audiobahn wouldnt go any other way. Anyone who disses Audiobahn obviously doesnt know jack about car audio. Again these are good subs and for the price c'mon I dont even gotta say it. SonicElectronics rules.

Strong for the Money

I have had 3 of these, I blew one so had to order another. They are the loudest I have heard in a long time. I have recomended them to my friends and a couple have even got a pair. They can handle a little more power then rated but I wouldn't go to crazy like I did. I have since sold one and now only have one left because that is all my truck will allow. Very Loud though.

My Love

Two of these subs are more than enough to provide glass rattling bass. With 400 watts of rms power two subs will get the job done. Audiobahn is a reliable brand and provides enough bass for a large SUV.

Audiobahn AW1251T

I had two of these up until last week when one blew. Before they blew they sounded clear and loud but not real bassy. It sounded great in the car but the bass could barely be heard outside of the car. These subwoofers do not seem to be very durable with high bass music.

Great bang for the buck

I first bought these subs when I got my car. I was tight for cash but wanted to have a system to bump to. I bought 2 of these aw1251T's and let me tell you THEY POUND!!!! I had them powered by an audiobahn 8002T amp (800 watts) and they made my rearview mirror fall off and the interior of my car start to come lose! I would have never thought that I could get that much sub for the money I spent. I would recommend these to anybody looking to get into car audio for the first time they are cheap but sacrifice no quality or sound.

These subs hit hard!!!

I just hooked these subs up yesterday and they sound grea so far. I havent even broke them in yet and they sound a whole lot better than my sonys. They hit like 3 or 4 times as hard as the sonys and they look cool too. I would definitely recomend these subs to anyone on a tight budget.

Good bang for your buck

If you're on a tight budget, a pair of these woofers and about a 300watt rms amplifier will usually get the job done. The subs are good and can handle lots of power. However, you don't need a ton of power to enjoy them. They were very efficient and the overall sound quality was good. There are better subs out there but these are very good for the price.

I have 2 in a sealed box running off a 1000 watt Rockford amp and the out perform my buddies Kicker Solo. I listen to mostly rock and they have a great response time, yet they still pound when I through in something with a little more bass. its okay

Audiobahnn has many good subwoofers, and has good speakers. My friend owns 2 of these with a 1200 watt sony amp ( 2CH ). I would suggest this subwoofer for people with smaller cars, and a 600 watt max amp. This can't handle 700 watts with out blowing, the cone is a normal cone but for long periods of time listening to rap music above the rms, or on the rms will mess up the cone, and you don't want a subwoofer that sounds like it's dying when your listening to music. This subwoofer is cheap I gotta say. Also it sounds good and some what loud with rock, some R@B, jazz, and 2pac.

Great for the money

I have 2 of these subs in my saturn SL1, all I have to say is that i have never heard more rattle from a car than mine. I have only 300 watts running to each of them and they pound! I recently broke one some how, and its not blown, so i don't know what the problem is, but otherwise its an amazing value, and they sound great!

I was looking for a 12" sub that was cheap and good. When i bought the sub i was expecting a lot less. My rear-view mirror broke off and because my windsheild was broke it shattered that. My next door neighbor called the cops because she said that it was disturbing the peace. It is cheap and worth it.
