I originally wired these to the JVC head unit 50 watts to see how they would sound. They worked but quickly distorted as the volume increased. Then I wired them to a 1500 4 channel amp. I had no distortion and they are LOUD!! But so harsh I disconnected them. They would be great for a jeep or a boat where sound dispurses but in my tahoe 6.5 components sound much more pleasing to the ear. Also mounting these is also limited due to the large magnet and depth required. Door mounting will require significant modifications.
