Android Headrest Tablets
I bought a pair of these from Sonic Electronix about a month ago. I wanted something to play movies for my kid to watch. I paired it with an AT&T hotspot so people in my car could surf the net on trips.
Pros:
It plays movies well without shutting off.
It has expandable storage like any other tablet.
It has an oem look and feel. You just need to hide the wires.
It detaches from the headrest holder for use as a tablet
The headrest has FM and Inferred built in and it made very sturdy.
The tablet can rotate and tilt.
Cons:
I could not get the inferred to work at all.
It's running an older version of Android (4.1.x) and it's not upgradable
Other comments:
Sometimes FM doesn't work and it requires me to play with it for a few minutes. It uses an APP that only works when it detects the FM from the headrest mount. So if it's unplugged you'll likely have to play with it a few minutes or restart it after you plug it back into the mount.
Would I buy this again? Yes.
Do I recommend this? Yes
