Mobile autonet
A little pricey when other companies are offering hotspots for a much cheaper price but this works really well going down the highway with few interuptions. The coverage is excellent but wish that Autonet would offer service in Canada. The unit comes with a 12 volt input but it would also be nice if there was a 110v adapter included.

AutoNet Mobile CarFi KT-ANMRTR-04 Review
I purchased the AutoNet Mobile CarFi about six months ago. We live in West Texas and I bought it for a road trip to Orlando, FL. I got it installed for around $50 or so. I can't quite remember, but it wasn't much. As soon as I left the car stereo store I tried it out w/a netbook and it worked right away. The netbook had no problem recognizing the wifi hot spot "Autonet" and connecting. My wife and two teens have the IPhone 3GS and they were all able to connect and use the wifi hot spot. I will say that the IPhones were a little less consistent in establishing a connection and holding on the the signal. It might have something to do with signal tower strength or some software issue. However, it was not that much of an issue. As far the AutoNet Mobile CarFi picking up a signal from the Verizon towers or any other towers, it was about what you would expect from a cell phone, dealling with changes in terrain, obstacles etc.. We did travel mostly on Interstate highways, which were pretty good. We did notice that the IPhones would switch to or overide to 3G service in the large uban areas. The CarFi worked very well and the Autonet web page used to track the data usage was also very helpful. Setting up the service was also a very painless experience and the customer service was helpful, knowlegeable and I believe located in the United States, which is always a plus. We live in a rural area in West Texas and it has come in very handy on long trips for football, basketball and other school activities. People are amazed that anyone around my Tundra can pick up the wifi hotspot as long as there is a tower to receive a signal. I also plan to buy another docking station and have that installed in my wife's Acura so we can just pop it off my truck and dock it in her MDX. Overall we are very satisfied and would recommend this product to anyone interested in a mobile wifi product. Others might have a different opinion with the same product, but I can only comment and share what I have experienced with the AutoNet Mobile CarFi.

Works Great!!
I have this device in my semi and have got to say that if you like being on the Internet without getting kicked off you need this! When my wife is driving I do a bit of Forex trading so having a great connection is important. Thanks, Tim H
