Great product with nice features for price

I installed the Autopage MA-210 on my '04 Honda 600RR and am pretty impressed with it. However, it is not a plug and go, like the Gorilla. There is a fair amount of wiring to do, and the instructions say the product is intended for professional installation, but with a little patience the installation can be DIY.

The alarm has a 2-way paging feature, and comes with one keychain fob pager unit with LCD screen and 5 function buttons. The pager fob uses a AAA alkaline battery, and it comes with a battery installed. The alarm notifies your pager unit when the alarm has been triggered, and via what trigger. To me, this was the most important feature, as it relieved some of the anxiety of walking into a store or restaurant, leaving the bike unattended and not knowing if something was happening to the bike. (For max security, I also use a cable lock). Besides the pager fob, the alarm also comes with its own siren (there is also a wire output to use the existing horn on your bike, in combination or as an alternative), a valet button, a shock sensor, a tilt sensor built into the control module, a SAW antenna to broadcast to the pager unit up to 1/2 mile away, an ignition kill switch built into the control module, a closed-loop trigger to secure a bag or other object on the bike, an LED signal light, and about 4 or 5 optional circuit wires that I did not use (for additional sensors, or pulsed switching). As you would expect, the siren chirps signals and also goes full police siren when the alarm is triggered. The control module flashes your turn signals or whatever else you want to flash, up to 5 amps or 60 watts.

The control module is pretty small, about 2" x 3.5" x 1" and can easily fit in the tail fairing cavities, which is a very key feature, since there is not much room on the RR. The shock sensor is a separate little unit that you can hide in a number of locations, to make it harder for a thief to locate and snip before he sets it off. The siren is perhaps the bulkiest component, a cylinder about 2.5 inches in diameter and 3 inches long.

In summary, the alarm works great and is also highly customizable and expandable, and would be worth it at twice the price.

The alarm will drain the bike's battery after sitting in the disarmed mode for about 2 weeks. When left in armed mode, the alarm will go into power save mode after 12 hours. In the power save mode, the alarm will drain the bike's battery in about 1 week.

Works Good

Instructions are unorganized so if you have never installed an alarm before you may have issues. Other than that the alarm works well and the paging function has good range.
