great product

I would say this is a must have for any aftermarket head unit install. Easy, painless and you retain all factory functionability.

Works as advertised

Instructions were adequate for this amateur. Get your soldering iron out! Tutorials on YouTube helped alot with the soldering. All of the wire colors matched the ones in my Silverado. The door chime now comes from the speaker that came with this unit, not from the driver's door speaker like it used to. The new chime is louder (I actually wrapped a towel around it to keep it from rattling and to lower the volume) and tinnier than the one that used to play through the door speaker. It does get your attention.

Great Price!!!!

Great price for the product. All I had to do was splice and match the colors and off I go. I own a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix without the Bose system. I tried looking every where and could not find it any cheaper. I would buy from this site again and probably will. Had to wrap one layer of electrical tape around the speaker to keep the chime volume low. But you also have the option to shut the speaker off completely by snipping a wire. I still wanted the chimes for low fuel and open doors or trunk.

it worked!

No cutting of stock wire-harness made for easy install. Tad costly, but wee worth it.

I love the product and in the way the shipping came on time I would really recommend this to anyone and everyone to try it. You most likely will love it.

Right adaptor makes a difference

I bought this adapter to install an after market radio in my truck. I wanted to retain the stock chime provided with my stock radio. The adapter worked perfectly and was easy to install. I still have my factory chime which makes me happy !!! The right parts make a radio installation easy.

Works Great!

This made installing my new Sony stereo in my 2004 Cavalier a lot easier. It retains the door chime and the feature where the stereo remains on until the door is opened. It's pretty loud out of the box, though the instructions tell you what to snip to bring it down to a more normal volume.

The unit is fairly large considering how little room I had in my Cavalier's radio compartment (I put it the hole on the left of the compartment). I'm thinking that I should have zip-tied it or something, though it's a fairly tight fit.

A little protip if you're installing a radio in a Cavalier: There's a few thin plastic pieces behind the radio, I snipped them out with some side cutters and it made wires a lot easier to deal with. Be patient, especially if it's your first time like mine!

good product

makes installing a after market deck in chevy's way easier. the only thing i would recommend is that you put it on the lower volume level for the chime box. as it comes the chime is really loud

works good

I used it in a 2002 pontiac grand am with the monsoon sound system. install was easy, but speaker on the box is a bit too loud, but there is a way to make it quieter i just haven't yet.

Axxess GMRC-01

Make for easy installation of aftermarket radio in 2001 Chevy Cavalier. Just wire to your radio's harness then plug into the factory plug.

Worked Great!

Good product, only fall back was I wasn't able to reduce the volume, no matter how much I cut the connection (as instructed). Finally gave up and just taped over the speaker.

Chime

The unit is very easy to install instructions were easy to follow

By michael on April 10, 2016

easy to use

this harness makes it a lot easier to install an after market deck into a chevy truck plus it keeps the warning chime. the best thing is not having to cut apart the factory harness all you do is plug it in and wire it up to the decks wire harness. the only thing i would recommend doing is to cut the circuit on the chime board that lowers the chime volume cause this little box is really loud if you don't. i used a razor blade to cut it myself just make sure you dont use too much force or you could break the hole board
