GOOD CAP

great amp, your car will perform as if you don,t even have a 1000rms amp hooked up. That's what i have, i say its worth the money.

Nice Capacitor

No more dimming lights and rev problems with the engine. When the bass hits the engine would drop some RPM's while idling, but not anymore. Voltage goes to 13.5 and 13.1 when the bass hits. I have a 420w rms mono block along with a 70w x 4 rms amp. Not much, but enough to dim my lights and get the juice my engine needs. Installation was a breeze. Charging the capacitor was a pain. After 1 minute the resistor started smoking, and had to stop for couple seconds to let it cool. And after 10 minutes the cap was still at 8 volts (Using a multimeter). Would recommend getting a better quality, lower resistance resistor to avoid losing half your day charging it.
Overall: Perfect, works as intended

Garbage

Worked for two seconds, yes I charged it up correctly before using it.

After 5 years

Has been working great, but after 5 yrars it stopped working. Disconnected from my car to diagnose just to hear a rattle inside, so, as any engineer would do, I oppened it up. It uses 2 big unmarked capacitors as usual and an array of smaller 2.7V 25f capacitors. 3 of the 25f caps are bulged and the 4 one was missing, rattling inside the casing. It basically just blew up off the board leaving the corroded pins still soldered to the board. I will still attempt to buy good quality Rubicon caps and fix it. Wish me luck

I've purchased 3 amps. 1-4000 watt, 1-4 channel 2400 watt, 1- 2 channel 1000 watt. They where dimming my trucks head lights. I installed a 2 farid cap, it didn't help. So I order a Boss 18 farid cap. And I have all the juice I need and more. My amps all hit harder than ever before. Thank you for helping me with a great sound system in my little S10.

Boss CAP18 works better than expected

I was very skeptical about this item but it actually works, it helps with the dimming of the lights. im running a Hifonics Brutus BRX2416.1D with 2 kickers l7 subs and crunch 1500watt amp. so far im happy with the purchase but it think that I should had bought the 30farad to complete solve the dimming lights issue
