i have this box with pioneer 12s in it it sounds great very suprised for being pioneer setup. well built

Solid box BUT
This box is built well and looks sharp, sturdy 3/4" MDF, wire terminals easily accept #14 AWG speaker wire, and presumably larger wires as well. The only problem is with the advertised mounting depth. All of that depth is there but it's in a circular cutout at the back of the box and my alpine SWR-10D2's don't fit! I fabricated a beauty ring for the front of the box to get the additional mounting depth. Actual mounting depth is closer to 5 3/4" than the advertised 6 1/2". With a lower wattage sub this might not be a problem as the magnet won't be so large as it is on my Alpine. It almost fit, if I had a router I probably could have shaved enough off the edge to make it fit. Would buy again!
