Insane Great Value! Great Earbud!

Bought it on insane promotion rate by Sonic Electronix.
While mine was back ordered (paid) they did ship out the item pretty fast, once shipped out they provide tracking info (UPS) which is useful. The packaging is sufficient and without much hassle to open. The item looks and feels authentic (mine you that there are tons of fake IE80 out there and when the item sell with unbelievable price you have to be careful a lot, Sonic Electronix mentioned that they are authorized dealer of Sennheiser though).

IE 80 need some time to burn in so you can leave it playing music for a few hours before start to use it, the sound is truly amazing, and even better with little fine tune of base respond, adjust it & test it with songs with a lot of bass and you will feel the difference (if there is totally no different for lowest & highest it maybe fake)(not bass head, my preferred setting is turn to lowest, then with a very slight turn a bit to liven the sound, take the scale 0,1,2,3,4, maybe around 0.2). Great earbuds!

I'm pleased with the sound quality of these earbuds. I watched some youtube videos before purchasing, and I feel that these earbuds are very well made, well thought out, and well designed. They do have that "earbud" sound to them, meaning that the sound is not as "spacious" as listening to speakers, however for the purposes I use them for (long commutes), I am very happy with what I got. Also, I bought from Sonic Electronix because they're an authorized Sennheiser retailer (I checked Sennheiser's website to verify), and the price with Sonic Electronix was unbeatable. I received a legit product from an authorized seller at an amazing price. What more could I ask for?

First, I must say service is first rate. Product arrived in a timely fashion and was as described.
Second, IE80 is well made and provides great sound. My DUNU's present a more "refined" sound but some detail is missing. Will see if any changes take place as earphones break in.

For my ears these are the best headphones beyerdynamic offers

I very much like the beyerdynamic 'house sound' save for that 8KHz treble spike. In recent years I have owned the DT 990 Pro 250ohm, the DT 880 Pro 250ohm, the DT 880 Premium 600ohm, and the DT 250 250ohm (still own the DT250's).

I also had about an hour to listen to various genres through the beyerdynamic Tesla T1back in December.

Of those I've owned I'd have to say that the DT880 Premium 600ohm headphone is my favorite. The Tesla T1 was a fantastic listen but there was too much time between my demo and listening to my headphones at home to get a fair comparison.

The beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro (balanced ear pads) sounds like a vastly improved DT 880 Premium 600ohm, without the 8KHz spike so commonly present in beyer's headphones. There's still a slight boost a 8KHz but It sounds perfectly balanced here. There's a bit of a boost in the lows using the balanced earpads (not super deep but quite present and resolving). Mids are, again, quite balanced (not recessed like many other phones in the DT series). Treble is well sorted with the DT 1990 Pro as well (bright, engaginig, and not fatiguing at all IMO.

The DT 1990 Pro is a fantastic headphone that's well worth the street price ($550??). I feel fortunate to have found them here for $425.

I'll love them for a lifetime!

This is my first pair of high and headphones. They are spectacular! Very comfortable. Sound amazing. And R and overall pleasure to use each day. I hope they will last for decades. I only wish the price was cut in half. This was an indulgence.

It is real. For the first listening of IE80, it sounded really normal. After playing for 10 hours, it sounded really awesome.

Great Earbuds!

These earbuds are great! They do not add extra sound to the music. If song has deep base, you will hear deep base. If the song does not have deep base, you will not hear deep base. They are great!
