great price and product.

I have been a Blaupunkt product person since 1983, the product is the only one that I found to hold up to the abuse of a off road truck. I will always use there product because of that. From the beach to the snow or just beating around in the rough it has always worked. I had a Houston when they first came to my area and it was great!

Blaupunkt GTx542 are ok speakers....

I am a fan of Blaupunkt, 5.25" speakers usually rock hard but these speakers were just fair. Years ago I installed a pair of Blaupunkt speakers in a friends car along with 2 Rockford Fosgate 12" subs, the bass response from the front speakers was impressive and the highs just screamed--which sounded perfect with the hard hitting subs. These speakers, GTx542, are great for replacing OEM but not for upgrading a sound system. They are just a bit weak, not a lot of bass response and the highs were like OEM speakers.

I have a 99 Jeep Cherokee and had a hard time finding replacement speakers for the factory Infiniti front door speakers (or pay out the wazoo from Infiniti). These Blaupunkt sound better, even if they weren't an exact match, I did manage to get them to fit with some inginuity. Sonic Electronix had the best deal by FAR on these, and I would recommend these speakers, and this company, to anyone.
