Excellent After Market Tech. For Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM)!!!

I had the BOYO Vision VTBSD1 (BSM) system professionally installed on my Lexus RX 400h Hybrid. The system works very well. After clearing it with the manufacturer, I had the installer mount the BSM sensors inside the rear bumper cover using RTV Silicone to ensure a secure installation vs. the 3M mounting tape included. I would highly recommend this BSM for any vehicle. One thing to get use to is both indicators light up when a vehicle enters your blind spot on either side when your turn signal is not on. However, this by design. Excellent product, you gotta get one!

Great device but kinda high price

The device itself is good and performance very similar to OEM device . Easy to install and in very good quality
But the price is kinda high

Speed based, not distance based

This system uses speed differences to trigger, not distance. That means that it can only detect cars that are actually moving faster than you. It won't show you a car that is sitting right next to you in your blind spot unless it is passing you. It will also pick up vehicles that are two lanes over going faster.

This makes it pretty worthless as a blind spot monitor. OEM systems measure distance, not speed, so they can show objects going the same speed, and filter out far away things.

A BARGAIN!

I bought it for my 2017 Toyota Highlander and I'm very satisfied with the performance of this device. Its perfect for me because of the very large blind spot on both sides of my car. I had the Blind spot sensors professionally installed by Car Toys. The Advent Blind Spot Sensors is $749 and the Boyo is $249!!!

Great Value!

I've been researching an aftermarket blind spot detection system for a while. I was hesitant because I didn't want to botch the install, but I decided to commit to this product and could not be happier with the results.

The install took about half a day and this product comes in handy every time I drive. If this feature does not come standard on your vehicle I highly recommend you invest. This product can literally save your life!

Literally useless...

We purchased this BOYO unit thinking we would save some money and get in to a microwave system for less than others on our 2014 Sonata. This thing is useless, and does not provide any positive feedback while driving. Each indication is a false alarm or is providing feedback at the wrong times. I know how this unit should work, since we have a factory unit in a Kia which works great. This unit will warn you about anything of size... Save your cash and go for a real brand. This company offers very little in terms of instructions, documentation and post-install support.

The list price of $729 to the current sale pricing below $380 should be a huge clue!! It's sell for half of what it used to be... Avoid this unit and go for a real brand/company who knows what they are doing. There are other makes who have much better support and only deal in these types of units. I would not recommend this product.
