quater inch wider

i just got it and found out it is quarter inch wider. it should be in standard size, so i thought i might not know how to install right. But when i went to b*st b*y to check the size of other car stereo.
all are in standard size or little bit smaller for better fit. but this Boss 755 DBI is QUATER INCH WIDER.

Great for the money

Works great for the money. Bluetooth works well and plays music from my phone over the bluetooth as well. Over all with iPod connection and full control of iPod only draw back is it doesnt have a remote mic so you have to talk kinda loud when on phone calls.

Fine

Good features for the price. BT call volume is very low for the first few seconds, and low overall. BT pairing is a bit dicey - some phones you have to pair a few times. BT works every time if you use the same phone with the car. If you then use a different phone that's been paired, it only automatically connects maybe 1/3 of the time. The rest of the time you have to manually connect using the phone. Once you've done that, it'll work until you switch phones again. I like how it says "CALL OUT XXX-XXX-XXXX" when you dial using your phone (the only way you can dial - stereo doesn't have a phone book, and this is fine with me as I thus don't have to keep it up to date). Similarly, you get a "CALL IN" notice.
SD card is nice - I keep one in there all the time in case I happen to be without a device or I just don't want to connect one because I'm in a rush. If the mp3 or other files have ID3 tags, they will scroll by on the screen. Music sound quality is OK in stereo BT, and a bit better with a 3.5mm wire, but the wire isn't worth the hassle. iPod dock functionality works with my Classic 5G. Haven't tried with my son's 3G iPod Touch. I'm concerned the plastic dock sized to my iPod will break - 2 small tabs hold it on the back. Hasn't happened yet. Manual is OK, but not great. Controls are OK, but I can never remember how to do EQ, fader, BT pairing etc.
I don't use the remote control, but it does appear to work.

It works....

I would still recommend this radio. The BOSS 755DBI is a fairly nice radio. The display is catchy enough, the sound quality is just fine and the neat little pop out I phone tray is handy. The only reason I got this is for the 'hands free' ability for the wife. Now shes a loud woman, believe you me. And when se uses it we found that the mic or sound pickup ability of this unit is rather poor. The charging ability does work and it can pic up sound, but it really uses (I believe) the mic on the iPhone. And it it's int he cradle, that would mean the mic is cover up in the tray. Bad design. But other than this flaw, it is a wonderful unit

Good Stereo

This stereo is definetly worth the price. I have recently installed it, hooked up the bluetooth, but have not yet used the SD card slot, or the USB so I won't review that.
so first off:
The iPod connector is a very good thing you can control it from the head unit and the remote. The stereo is very loud as opposed to others I've owned.
The one thing I don't quite like, or maybe haven't gotten used to is that on some songs they may sound a little muffled or too pitchy, but that is about a handful of songs, nothing major.
Opposed to what these other people said, the bluetooth works to perfection, yes it doesn't have a mic, but once I installed the head unit, I called a number of people. Before even telling them I was on a Bluetooth in my car I had a full conversation. At the end I asked them if I sounded different or anything, and they couldn't tell a difference from talking directly on the phone with them. I am overall very happy with this unit, no more having hundreds of cds with me, I now have them all on my iPod.
Oh! and the radio shows the station, and what's being played on the station, nothing big, but I've never had that on a stereo, so that was pretty cool too.
