Great head unit

Installed right after Christmas as it was a present the other stereo the speakers were cutting out and the Bluetooth was lagging after I installed the boss the Bluetooth hooked right up and great sound love all the features

Great for replacement of my factory radio

Nice replacement for my so-so factory radio. Easy to install and setup with the supplied cables and brackets in my Ford Sport Trac.

Like the look, straight forward usage and the sound is good, even with my factory speakers.
Next I install the back up camera and new speakers.

I would recommend this radio and would buy another from Sonic and BOSS.

Poor design , alot of problems

The volume knob is to small & slick .It did not mount in the dash properly ( gap at the bottom , may have been the cheap install kit ) .Poor display layout , time display when in use is in right upper corner and is about 1''X0.5" , the CD display is about the same .

The problems . (1)Out of the box the CD player was making a squeaking noise (2) The display panel forward button would not advance . (3) Radio reception , first it picked up about 15 station , turn it off then on , 2 station , sometimes picks up better back than forward . (4) The CD player locks up , won't go forward or back , once the whole unit locked up ,I finally got it off then on too work again . IT WILL BE GOING BACK !!!!!!!

Best bang for the buck

Very pleased with unit - handbook needs a little work on language. Had unit for a month wishing it had an equalizer function. One day while playing with the menu I pushed "sound effects" - walah, I found the equalizer. Might think about re-labeling that. Installation kit includes a lot of stuff you don't need and one critical item you do need - adapter for the antenna connector. I had to build one. I would give the kit a lower rating, but that's not what I'm reviewing here - the radio is a good, full featured unit and a great value!

Good radio for the money

This is a good replacement radio for a stock radio used in a 2007 Ford F150. It performs well, has blue-tooth capabilities and other nice features. I would recommend it for someone looking for an excuse to change their stock radio. But plan to spend some time installing it if radio installtion isn't your expertise. I watched a UTube installation video (which was very helpful). The author admitted he spent about 5 hours installing. My experience was slightly longer because I have to purchase some longer screws to attached the case to the existing chassis and make some other minor modifications. But a 5 to 6 hour installation time is probably realistic for us amateurs.

Pros: Installation went well and the completed installation looks awesome. Sound is great. Bluetooth compatibility was easy to follow. Video does very well. I would strongly suggest following the manual's suggestion and try the various features to become comfortable with the radio's features.

Cons: The clock feature only lights up when the radio is turned on. It seems to me that the clock should display whether the radio is on or off. Also, it doesn't seem to have the ability to manually save scanned radio channels. The manual explains how to do an automatic scan, which works as explained. Unfortunately In my case, that meant only 4 stations in AM and 5 stations in FM. That makes FM1 and FM2 useless features because both record the same FM stations. It seems there should be a way to manually scan and save other stations in both AM and FM. Therefore, my rating is only a "4"--when it could be a "5" rating.

Bang for the Buck

I was looking for to replace the stereo in the Pathfinder with something that had Bluetooth. My daughter is now driving that vehicle. Ugh!! And like most teenager like to listen to her music. Although we don't encourage the use of a cellular device while driving. We have schooled our children in the many risks and that it is not allowed by law. Adults do it, so where's the practice what you preach. Anyhow, if she were going to use her cell phone , let's say for an emergency where she cannot piull safely over then we as parents are goign to provide her with the safest possible means rto do so. And this system works and it not costly. The full face screen is a lot better than being distracted by a motorized screen. It has a pen for the touch screen but, our daughter says its less distracting using her finger. The controls are user friendly and the adjustments for sound are incredible. Sonic Electronix supplied or recommended all the items I would need to install this and existing amp installed as per instructions. I did have to call tech support because I wast getting any power, It seems I missed a step in the installation , my bad. Tech support was great too.

Bought the BOSS BV9351B as a replacement for my factory radio. It has been installed for 2 weeks and I am very happy. Hope to replace speakers and add the backup camera next.

13 cars. Numerous stereos from cheap to professional.this is by far the worst unit I've ever purchased. Interface is trash. The print is soooooo small. You'll probably crash trying to read what track is playing. Terrible radio reception. Sound quality is horrendous. If you turn up the volume quickly there is major lag before it reaches the setting. It randomly loses sound settings. And time. But doesn't forget my phone. It pops while playing Bluetooth especially at cold temps. Takes forever to search the phone book. The call quality let's not even go there.... Got one for my wife unfortunately both are installed and boxes in the garbage. These units will follow shortly. Just an all around poor design. Shame on you boss. You've done good before but this one is just not it!

Great features and price but Bluetooth and FM reception deficient

we needed a radio with Bluetooth since the new law requires no hands on. The microphone could be better as far as clarity. It is no where near an older the pioneer in another car. Overall FM reception is less than the OEM Nissan radio since we lost some signal strength so we lost one station we listened often. The rest of the radio is great. touchscreen, screen clarity, menus,..

Works great! Sound and picture quality are very nice. Only issue is the brightness gets washed out and grey if set too high; cant see movies during the day without crankong up brightness.

Many features, low price point, quality mediocre

I picked this item because my car has lotsa miles and not worth spending a lot of money. The item was fairly easy to install. Has multiple functions and all work. But quality is the issue. The radio receiver is much weaker than the stock radio. Can't get all my stations clearly all the time. The Bluetooth hook up to my iPhone works but some functions are limited. When using it to make calls I can hear the caller well but the person on the other end says they can't hear me that well -but I'm still using it. Overall I'm keeping it because I don't want to spend more. But if you can afford to get something better then do it!
