Good for the Money

This is the first Boss unit that I have tried. I had always used Pioneer units prior. Boss is at the lower end of the quality spectrum, but this unit had good reviews so I figured I would give it a try.

Pros:
It has good sound quality.
Has many features that others don't have in this price range, bluetooth mainly.
SD and USB slots.
Outputs for monitors, and an input for a back up camera.
Has 3 preamp outputs
Decent radio reception

Cons:
The volume while streaming via bluetooth is lacking.
The resistive touch screen is clumsy.
The UI is not very easy to navigate, and is frustrating at times.
The USB input is very picky about flash drive formats and brands. Some work well, some not at all. Sandisks seem to be favorable, but I've had trouble with them too.

For the most part I am happy with this unit, and you won't find a unit with more features in this price range.

I love this product by boss the price was unbeatable,looks and works very well I only have one problem with the radio memory setting stations ,that don't have that feature

Good unit for the price and features.

This is a pretty nice product for the price. If your are on a budget I highly recommend this unit. Not unless you can afford one of the more expensive units. This particular one operates and performs better than I expected.

Pros
- USB play back Mpeg video and MP3 files.
- 1 Input AV RCA connection
- 1 Output V RCA connection
- Good video screen, not as clear as the Kenwood, Pioneer, or Alpine.
but on a scale of 1 - 10 I would give the screen resolution an "8"
- Touch screen.
- SWC with separate adapter.
- Easy to install.
- 5 Channel Amp output Front, Rear, & Sub connection.

Cons
- Not a dual system (but that's stated in the description)
(Where the dvd source will continue to play to your monitors in the
back while you use another source is in use, such as the radio)

- Mini USB connection on the face of the head unit. I think they should have place the mini on the back of the unit and place the normal size USB interface on the front of the unit.

Great upgrade on a smaller budget

I wanted to upgrade my stereo but did not have a ton of money to purchase an expensive unit. This unit works great and exceeds what I expected for the price.

Stereo Car and DVD

Man, I was looking for a car stereo to install in my old FORD F150 2002.
I found the Boss BV9362BI, which look something good to replace.

I just was not only good, it is the car of my dreams at the price I pay.
It sounds good, it look good and has all the functions I wanted: Radio, AM, FM, with a lot of memory station, assigned in each band AM1, AM2, FM1, FM2 and FM3, so I can have an organized station on display.
The HANDS FREE is wonderful, I can make call from cellular device or DIALING from stereo device. In both cases via BLUETOOTH, you will here a nice a conversation with out using your hands.....
Because the Car Stereo has UPS conection you can hook up two different devices ONE AT A TIME,
Also, you have an SLOT to introduce your CARD with the music of your dreams and in accordance with the capacity you can heard your preferred music along the travel,
An if your kids go in the rear seat of the auto, they can see the DVD they wants.
And you can have a REAR CAMERA installed and when necessary, you can see when reversing OR... if you desire you might trick it an see all the traffic behind you as you wish.
This is a product for the price of $140.00 I can recomend 100%.

My son just bought a Stereo for his Tribute, at the same price, but when he saw mine, now he feel bad, because he never consulted me before the buying.

My experience as a Sonic customer

The product was exactly how I ordered it but, I wasn't aware of the wiring harness and adapters didn't come with it. The description said included adapters and all accessories. I need the back up cam and I needed the harness. I ended up cutting my factory harnesses and it didn't come with the mounting cage. But overall my experience was average, I will be a return customer

Not too bad for the price

This unit works pretty decent with the following caveats:
The tuner doesn't get real great reception. If your in a rural area, you might need to invest in a signal booster.
The bluetooth works ok, but with my android phone you can't dial out via voice command. Don't know if an IPhone would or not.
The volume control doesn't behave in a linear fashion. When you turn it volume level doesn't increase by a set amount for every detent of the dial.
That being said it's a decent unit for the price, but in hindsight I would have went for a $200 unit from a major mfg.

Good radio for the price

Definately better than the factory radio in my van. More powerfull and sounds better.
Screen quality is good when playing DVDs.

My only complaint is that the back USB is flaky when using a thumb drive. It hangs and reboots the unit once in a while.

Bang for the Buck

Bought for my daughters Trailblazer. Didn't won't to spend big money because we might trade in. So far ( 1 month) it has been great. I would buy again. She loves it.

Great price for the product

I needed a inexpensive radio, I ended up purchasing this Boss from Sonic and got more for my buck. Will buy again from Boss.

get what you pay for

First off boss is not a top name brand line of products. The volume is very high at 1. Need to turn down the equalizers right off the bat. Everything is easily accessable and controls are simple. Bluetooth setting is the last tab in the menu, does not work though. Will link to phone but does not make calls or play music. Good to watch movies even with the delay in sound, doesn't match the lips moving. USB doesn't format with most androids, haven't tried it with Apple.

It works but you get what you pay for, cheap.

Good product for the price

Only con is the steering wheel setup doesn't work with my 2012 ford focus even with the Axxess AX-ADBOX1 & Axxess AX-ADFD02

The Boss BV9362B1 is what I'd expect. It's installed in my GMC truck and it's working GREAT.

Great Deck for a low price.

This is the first time I have bought a BOSS product. Am pleased with the performance so far. The USB is a bit fussy on what plays but everything else works fine. I will deal with Sonic for my needs in the future. They were Fast and Courteous.

Mixed feelings about this unit

This is my first double-din DVD unit so I did not know what to expect.
Pros:
Looks great
CD/DVD player works great.
Good Price
Decent sound quality and power
Bluetooth works great
Cons:
Can't set clock, it keeps returning to wrong time.
Poor radio reception where I live in the hills and it keeps scanning
Screen is hard to see in daylight

I like the unit and everything seem to work good but the clock it will not keep time but then it is so small you don't see it anyway but over all it is a good unit.

Great Value

Everything worked great on this unit. I installed this myself and found it pretty easy to install, mostly because I ordered the kit that this site suggested I order with it. In my opinion, it is worth the cost. The only problem I saw with it was that you have to have the parking brake on to view videos... But that is the law. This is easy to bypass though; I bought it so passengers could watch movies while traveling. A responsible driver would keep eyes on the road... This connected via Bluetooth to my Galaxy S5 without a problem.

Perfect accessory

Bought this for a Christmas present and my brother loves it. He has the option to plug in an aux chord or just use Bluetooth. Great sound and good graphics. I would recommend this for a cheaper double din radio that has the same features as a $400+ radio.

Nice radio for the price!

Sonic is a great company to buy from. Easy ordering and great customer service. Will definitely buy again. Radio met expectations. Next time will spend a little more for a nicer unit but this one is fine. Thankfully my truck is a super easy install.

My Boss stereo looks great in my car and the features are just what I wanted. Sound is great! Only thing is the bluetooth phone rings and the calling party can't hear me unless the volume is sky high which is the only reason I can't give it five stars

Good Head Unit for the price

Definitely like the Bluetooth function. It does lag when streaming music wirelessly. Kinda comes and goes every so often during a song but overall can't beat the quality of this head unit

I was looking for a factory radio replacement and noticed the price of the double-din radios. I knew that I did not need a high-end replacement so I did some looking around and found this radio. It fits my needs for a lot less than the other name brands. Has some of the same features as the name brands but may not have as much customization to the radio itself which is fine with me. If you are looking for a good replacement with the same main features as the name brand ones for less money, I would look at the Boss products.

Great system for the price!

I love this entertainment center, watch dvds, stream from my phone,and best of all hands free phone. very happy so far..

Overall a great unit for the price. Like others have stated: doesn't display song titles when streaming(not that big of a deal), and antenna strength isn't as strong as stock radio. With that said the unit is easy to set up and use. A lot of features for the price. Recommend getting the harnesses for the stock wiring harness and steering control wiring. Very happy with it!

I would not recommend this product. This product is a direct reflection of getting what you pay for, this product cuts off during operation for no reason, doesn't keep the same volume when using reverse, has poor blue tooth linkage to phone and doesn't stream video or pictures from phone, SD cover does not stay in slot. Overall, I am disappointed in my purchase and will save my money for a more expensive, higher quality head unit.

I would recommend this stereo..fit my 2005 ford focus perfect, looks good...PROS made my stock speaker sound 10 times better.you have to buy double din kit for model car or truck you have.Blue tooth works great dvd, the only Cons I have is that the blue tooth stereo don't auto connect , and play ramdon tracks..

Love this unit! It's does everything I need it to do. Love the hands free Bluetooth and it comes with mic, also plays all dvd regions with no issue. My only con is the touchscreen can be non responsive at times but it's very rare, only happens when you try to do to much all at once. Everything else is amazing. Great volume as well, i don't have to turn it all the way up just to hear like I did with my last unit, just turn half way and it gets pretty loud. Would highly recommend!

a great replacement unit

when the stereo system died in our '04 Ford, I went looking for an affordable replacement. the Boss was the perfect choice. easy to install and equally easy to use. would heartily endorse this unit.

Not worth the money

I bought this as a gift for my mother's Ford Explorer to replace the factory installed stereo. After easily installing it, the sound quality was horrible. The sound was very weak and the equalizer was pretty much obsolete. I returned this and bought a Pioneer. That's a separate review all together.

Boss customer service

Very pleased with what I got for the price. The only problem is that I can't get the hands free to work properly with my phone. I've tried contacting Boss customer service by phone and email and haven't had any luck at all. I then looked at the reviews on the Boss website and apparently they have the worst customer service that i've ever heard of. The complaints are all the same- no one answers their phones, returns voice mails, or returns emails. This isn't the fault of Sonic- I've ordered other brands from Sonic in the past with no issues til now. If i cant get it working then I guess I'll just have to return it and spend a little more on another brand- too bad because it's probably a real easy solution if they'd just get back to me to either let me know what I need to be doing differently or to determine if it's an issue with the radio. If you're looking to buy a Boss brand, you're warned!

A Great Starter Touch Screen

I do recommend this product!

Below are only MY OPINION

Pros:
-OMG!!! you wont beleive this, it has a calculator built in also (as you slide to the right)
-I can handle calls as well and it has a key pad to dial number and you can see previous numbers and call them back
-Its a touch screen (all my friends go wow when they ride with me)
-The Bluetooth seems easy to connect to
-The screen has ability to dimmer or brighten
-Its pretty straight foward to navigate through
-I previously own a Pioneer set (cd player, amp, and subs until now when i bought my Boss set.

Cons:
-To this day i have not been able (dont think i can) to put a custom background up and whiles bluetooth is playing its just a simple blue-ish screen with a start/pause button and a few others
-im giving features 4 stars only because i cannot add my personal background.... if i find a way to do so i will come back and give a 5. other than that i love the cool exterior features that are available

The boss double din is a good for its value lacks some fetures but no big deal

Clunky interface and would not recognize ASWC-01

I'm somewhat of an audiophile and was too interested in a good deal to truly be happy with this unit. The interface is often slow to respond and the disc loading seems to take a long time, even when switching from disc to FM to disc. Bluetooth connection was efficient and call audio quality was satisfactory. My biggest complaint was it's inability to auto connect to the ASWC-01 steering wheel interface. I spent over an hour on the phone with an install agent trying to get the interface to communicate with the deck but was unsuccessful. Sending this one back for a higher end unit.
