Awesome stereo!

This stereo is awesome. No problems with the install, and everything works great. The power is so much higher than any other aftermarket system I have ever purchased. The Dvd quality is great. The only thing I wish I could do is customize the background. Oh yeah, sometimes it does not pull the artist info from tracks, but that is not a big deal for me. The customer support from Sonic Electronix was stellar. Thanks guys, look forward to doing business with you again in the near future!

Good for what it is

To start off the radio reception is horrible even with local stations and whenever you search for a station it deletes all of you presets and changes them to the best reception ones that it picks up so we don't even touch that button anymore. The Bluetooth works pretty good but the music won't show any title or music info which is pretty frustrating. The GPS is spotty and not entirely accurate and yells at you whenever you go over the speed limit, so we have been driving slower here lately. But for the price it's pretty good and the quality is good along with the touch screen response. And does look pretty darn good. And the backup camera works well.

Nice Unit

I like the unit but the remote control doesn't work. I called sonic but they said call the manufacturer, but I get no answer, and when I leave a message they don't call me back. I tried new batteries but it just doesn't work.

I never heard of Boss audio & gave it a try based on the good reviews. This deck is under half the price of the other brands with same features & I'm very happy with it! Sounds good looks good & very easy to navigate all the controls including the Navigation. Bang for the buck is off the charts & well exceeded my expectations.

Great Value Works Perfect

I have been a auto mechanic for over 30 years and I purchased a 1996 Honda Accord EX V6 I have installed many radios and specialized in electrical, I ordered the install kit and also used most of the OEM radio brackets, wiring was simple and this one also has a dimmer wire so when you turn on the headlights the radio dimes.The navigation was outdated so I removed the memory card and set up a account with Naviextras.com and paid for the update it works perfect I live in a brand new subdivision and has no problem finding it. You can find better radio navigation but you might spend 2 or 3 time the money I am very happy with the radio sound I have recorded music on the USB and it works great, DVD/CD, back up camera works great I purchased a BOSS camera.
I am very satisfied with Sonic customer support, I originally purchased a different BOSS radio without navigation and within 3 week I was able to return the radio and upgraded to this radio with navigation thank you Sonic

Boss BV9386NV

First, kudos to the folks at Sonic Electronix for their consideration in getting this unit to me. They were unfailingly helpful.

The unit itself installed easily in my 2003 Honda CR-V; the existing mounting brackets attached neatly to the Boss. To make the harness that connects the radio to the car, I recommend soldered connections covered by shrink-wrap. Don't forget to put the shrink-wrap on each wire *before* soldering.

The GPS antenna must be mounted on steel, with no metal between it and the sky. I made a small shelf from a piece of steel scrap and attached it to the back of the unit, where there are some threaded holes. The assembly slid neatly into the dashboard.

The radio performs well. It's sound is good, it plays a variety of media, and the GPS is useful. In GPS mode, the daytime displays could use a little more contrast, but the screen is easily visible. All in all, this radio does everything one could expect of it, and at a reasonable price.

Average Radio

The navigation is alright (although it ships with a map that is over two years out of date) and the stereo is decent, however if you want to use an ipod or smartphone for music just look at a different manufacturer. After waiting for 23 days for customer service to respond, I was told that this unit will not actually read music from any of these devices and that the only way to play music is AUX jack. There is also no rear USB input as the description suggests

Installed my unit a year ago. Have had no problem with it at all. Except the cd will skip on occasion. Great unit for the price.
