Great Deal!!!

The following review is for a previous version (BV9562B).

I bought this and two Rockford Fosgate 10's with an amp and had it installed last night and my 97 ES300 is slappin' SOOO HARD right now!! The screen is a lil ehh but I think it's either my nails or just takes touching the right spot but I can deal wit it. I love it. The SD card loads in under 15 seconds and turning it off and on, it picks up where you left off. Have yet to use the bluetooth but I'm setting that up this morning. The radio is clear and cd's play without any problems. Will also try the DVD today to see how clear the screen is but overall...I love it! BTW...I'ma chick and I pray I don't get any noise violations! The "Loud/Mute" button on the included remote will indeed be my friend!

detachable face plate issue

The following review is for a previous version (BV9562B).

This unit when working properly is actually really good, but my detachable face not attaching to head unit. I was only able to attach the face plate only three times. For some reason it will not snap to the unit, so I am returning it. Also the bluetooth rarely worked, when I tested an incoming call, the screen would not automatically change, I had to physically change it to blueetooth in order to pick up the call. Outgoing worked fine.

Nice Product!

The following review is for a previous version (BV9562B).

For $250 its an great buy. If you on a budget and you need an nice cd/dvd player, this would be an great start. I havent had any problems with it so far, but then again i only have had it for 2 weeks. Also when i was looking at this player, i was wondering if the bluetooth supported a2dp, and even though it doesnt say it, it actually does support it which is an plus! Only thing that i truly hate about it, is the fact that the eq sucks!!!!!!! And that brings it down a little in my opinion. This is not the best cd/dvd player overall, but for the price range its in, it is! I recommend this.

Its an okay radio.

The following review is for a previous version (BV9562B).

I ordered the boss bv9562b mainly for the bluetooth feature which works flawlessly, but on the other hand this radio has its faults. The lights at the bottom of the radio that display the name, volume, mute and such do not light up and that may be because i have a diffective unit. Also the volume is really strange because the treble can be increase even after the limit is reached but goes back down when you cut the car off. Overall i give it a 6.5/10..

GREAT BUY

I researched this radio since there were no reviews on it from Sonic. I've seen some good and bad reviews doing my studies and here's my conclusion. The people that gave this radio a bad review were WRONG! The complaints i've read seems to me is user error. How they found this radio to be "HARD" to opperate beats me. I strongly advise them to stay away from any electronics including cell phones, radios, can openers ect.....Easy to understand and use. I love my new radio and all my friends asking can I find them a radio like this. I'm a LIFE LONG CUSTOMER of Sonic! Thanks.

SO FAR NOT IMPRESSED

The following review is for a previous version (BV9562B).

I bought this product simply for the features. Detach face, dvd 7" touch screen, I knew not to expect much from this brand but, I have it wired to my kenwood 9105d and it shuts down when the bass starts hitting. The cd player will not eject my cd and the aux adapter is to thick to fit in my phone and for some reason it doesnt pick up radio stations very well in my metropolitan area, so I am only able to listen to stacky radio stations instead of my CD's DVD's or my phone which were all the reasons I bought this other than its a detach face and so far that works fine for now. Have had it for about two weeks. Sending this back.

Excited intially but was disappointed

I purchased this radio for my truck and though initially excited, I became terribly disappointed. The user friendliness of the unit SUCKS!! It has audio controls (Bass and treble) but ONLY for the DVD and Aux sections. You cant adjust it for the radio, CDs or your USB card. Blah... The LOUD feature makes the sound horrible. Plus the way it reads your files from a memory card/USB card sucks! It doesn't show the whole file name. The unit also shows military time like (15:34, 17:40 etc) but its set to 12hr with NO OPTION for the 24hr so I don't understand why its showing the time that way. It does not show the time while in USB mode which is inconvenient. Lastly, which is the main reason, some of my radio signals are TERRIBLY weak. I have an antenna booster built in the truck and even with that connected, signals were low. Found out it was a performance issue with the radio having a sensitive tuner or something to that effect. Not good. A few times the unit automatically restarted itself. The only positive I got out of this experience thus far is the service/response time from the seller. I will be looking for another radio once I get my refund. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! You get what you pay for!!!! Not to mention, the manual (wait a QUICK START GUIDE) gives you a DRY SUMMARY of what to do and does not explain alot of features on the unit. You try to go online and find nothing. I even emailed Boss's tech support and they said there is not a manual available. LOL How do you sell a product and don't have a REAL user's manual ready for it? *Shrugs* I wanted to give Boss a chance and they did not prevail.

GOOD BUT NOT SO GOOD

The following review is for a previous version (BV9562B).

IT WAS A OVERALL GREAT PRODUCT but the detachable face plate seems to cause the must problems. Would not attach to the head unit after the first 2 weeks you will take a gamble with this product.

boss bv9562b

The following review is for a previous version (BV9562B).

This DVD player is ok. Some of the features suck. The radio sometimes changes the channel on its own, but for the price I am happy with it.

Great Value

The following review is for a previous version (BV9562B).

I purchased this unit for my wifes Pontiac G6, this should be installed professionally or a very good skilled installer. The metra double dash kit will work but it has to be altered with a rotary tool since this is an oversized double din unit, the cheaper 2pc double din dash kits will not fit. Overall this is a featured pack sleak device and for the money you cannot go wrong. I want to make it clear its not a JVC (best detachable face unit) but its also half the price of a JVC with similar features. I would know since I have a JVC double din detachable face unit in my car. The music sound of the unit is very good. Bluetooth works perfectly better than my JVC 840. Although the features do not indicate this, head unit will stream music from your bluetooth phone as well.
