It's an Okay unit but spend a few bucks more to get something better!

After installing the radio I have been very disappointed. I originally started with a stock stereo in my car and replaced the stock speakers with kickers. The sound was great with the stock stereo but I wanted to get the most out of the speakers so I tried this receiver thinking I would be able to do so. The sound quality is actually really bad with this unit. It only has a bass and treble adjustment, no high mid or low adjustments. The receiver barely puts out sound until I start cracking it up really high and then if I go just a little too high then it starts to sound really bad. The features of the receiver are cool and it does put out sound but the sound board on this unit is really cheap. Spend a little more and get something better or just get a simple single din receiver that will sound amazing.

Good for the price.

Headunit is nice quality, looks nice sounds nice. Has many features many of which I don't even use. One thing that bugged me was the USB attachment it has doesn't allow you to play music off your phone. It allows you to put flash drives on but who does that? I dont at least. Anyways bluetooth pairing is very fast. Doesn't have a mids adjustment on the equalizer only bass and treble but it does have a sub volume. One complaint is when you have it on bluetooth it will always give you the message "make sure your bluetooth device volume is turned all the way up" I haven't figured out how to make that go away.

Not great. Not terrible. Just ok.

Didn't connect to iPhone as well as it should. Extra wiring and connectors need to be purchased.

Microphone is terrible at picking up voice during phone calls. People complain they can't understand what your saying.

Touch screen isn't the greatest when it's cold.

Software crashes when you plug a lightening cord from iPhone into the USB data port. Unit will not turn off and needs to be hard reset.

Typical stuff to be expected from china I guess.

You get what you pay for. Price was cheap so... meh

Good double din with backup cam

This is a good head unit with backup cam, bluetooth, mirror link, micro sd.
I could not get the steering wheel controls to work with my 04 monte carlo with the axxess adapter. Probably need to fiddle with it some more.
FM radio cuts in and out in loudness as i drive. Not sure if i have a bad connection or with my adapter or not.
The 1st unit i bought had a bad volume knob. Sonic is awesome with returns and had me another one within a week. Volume knob on the 2nd one was good.

Great Sounding Unit

Purchased this for my girlfriends car, Replaced a single DIN with a fold out screen. First thing I noticed was for whatever reason the old radio was sensitive to engine noise, where as this boss unit Was NOT. It is very quiet. I had to drop the Levels on all sources because at first it was Too Loud or Silent. Literally. 0 was silent 1 was "im yelling at my girlfriend and shes sitting right next to me" Im sure this had something to do with the factory amp in the car, but after dropping the levels, the volume was much more linear. Unit looks good in the dash, and my only complaint is that she needs a special app on her phone to stream via Bluetooth. Seems kind of odd that Bluetooth would require an app. I have a Pioneer AppRadio that cost much more than the Boss, and only has half of the functions of the Boss. Long story short if you're looking to fill a Double Din hole with a unit that looks and sounds good, (and you dont need a cd/dvd player) Look no further.

Boss Stereo

Installation was a snap in my 2001 Ford Expedition that the fit guide said would not fit. It replaced an existing sony I bought from sonic that used my android phone for a controller. Don't buy that sony unit, it sucked. The Boss unit though has been awesome from the moment I turned it on. Easy of interface, easy of features, powerful clear output, and great bright display too. Bluetooth phone audio equal to my factory chevy cruze unit, pairing automatically goes super fast,. and my streaming resumes where it left off when the key is turned off. Love this unit, great price too.

Wife's Birthday Present

This being in my wife's vehicle I don't get a lot of chances to use it, however, the install was easy. I did some of the initial setup, everything seemed straight forward.
Be aware, this unit does not have disk media. I did not read the description thoroughly when purchasing. My wife figured the work around by uploading her local musicians CD's to the cloud and then streaming them. Definitely better than carrying around a bunch of disks.
I have not installed a backup camera with it yet. This is one of the features she was looking for.
If this unit would fit in my car, I would buy a second one.

GOOD RADIO MISSING SOME STANDARD FEATURES

THIS IS A VERY NICE RADIO FOR THE MONEY. I LOVE MIRROR LINK, THE FACT THAT IT DOESNT HAVE A CD/DVD PLAYER(NOBODY USES THEM ANY MORE), CHEAP PRICE. I FEEL THIS IS MISSING 2 VERY STANDARD FEATURES IN OTHER RADIOS, 1 BEING A VIDEO OUT PUT. WHY HAVE A VIDEO STEREO THAT CAN NOT SEND OUT TO ADDITIONAL SCREENS? AND THIS UNIT DOES NOT HAVE A REMOTE CONTROL. I FEEL ANY VIDEO CAR STEREO SHOULD HAVE THESE 2 FEATURES. ITS MY FAULT FOR NOT CHECKING BEFORE I ORDERED BUT I FIGURED ANY RADIO WOULD HAVE THESE.
