confused?

I installed this to a 1200watt amp for a little extra power and it solved my dimming headlights but... It came with conflicting installation directions so my display will not work. Other than that, its doin its job n the price at Sonic Electronix is the best hands down!

great buy

I bought this cap a few months ago. it works great. i was able to hook it up and charge it without a problem. the mounting brackets work great too, just make sure you use self tapping mounts. it looks and preforms great. i would def. recommend this to anyone who needs a cap. it got rid of all my light dimming problems as well. the price is a steal for the quality of this item

a need to have

This small piece of equipment helped my battery and alternator and took my subs to another level and then some. Truly incredible . Also, it looks so sick.

5 months still going strong

I have this running two amps, 1 4channel, and a mono block, and lights still slightly dim, but I'm at 1900 watts, so I should have gone for the 3 fared cap, but I do recommend this a friend, and he got one running his Alpine MRP500, so this is a very good bargin cap! Color scheme is extremely annoying though, couldn't have been anymore cheesey looking, the only thing I want to see is the voltage meter, and the blue led is so bright, I have been pulled over for cops thinking I have a light bar!!
Instructions are very bad, watch sonics videos to understand what you need to do
Thanks sonic!!

Not bad

The light makes my camaro look like it has a security system from afar. Great looking and does okay with power needs. Unfortunately, it does not cure the dimming headlights. The draw of current is so excessive, the voltage drops from 14v to 12 easily in one hit. (15" Mofo pulling 1000+ RMS) This could all be related to the alternator being 20 years old. All in All, its great when you have the right setup. It did make a difference for me but its not a miracle worker.

Works Well

I put this cap with a zx750.1 kicker amp and it helped the headlight dimming alot. between this product and a large power wire kit the headlights are almost completely constant.

Christmas present

I got my son into car audio. And as you would suspect more bass the better for this kid. His budget is limited so a cap was a good way to stop the lights from dimming until he can afford to build his system up to handle the bass he likes. The cap seems to do it's job.

Boss Capacitor

I bought the BOSS to help with peak loads and to save my alternator. I was experiencing headlight dimming when my subs hit hard and already burned up an alternator. The BOSS cured the problem. Now I can boost the gain on my amp which I couldn’t do before and my lights never dim. I have owned the BOSS for almost a year, it was easy to set up and works as advertised. I would recommend the BOSS as an inexpensive alternative to upgrading your alternator.
