Runs hot!

I just got this amp yesterday and hooked up all the wiring for it (4 gauge, as recommended) and I have it connected to a pioneer champion series 10" (TS-W2502D4) in and enclosed box. I have it set up as the wiring guide from Sonic Electrionix suggests. It pushes the subwoofer very well but the amplifier gets extremely hot after about 10 minutes of use. The specs for the amplifier and the sub match up and they work well together but the heat from the amplifier is too much and in such a short period of time. I will definitely return it and look for an amplifier that does not get so damn hot. Durability is questionable and I do not plan on keeping it long enough to find out.

Great value!

Have had it installed for a few months now and it definitely makes the bass bump! Good value for the price. Does tend to get hot in the summer but no overheat issues yet. Has a nice minimal sleek look. With the right tuning this amp runs smoothly.

awesome

The following review is for a previous version (CE1800M).

Get amp especially for the price. Easy to install. Would recommend to someone who doesnt want alot of power but enough to get the job done.

Decent..

The following review is for a previous version (CE1800M).

I got this as my first amp in my first car. I drive a 2006 Mazda 6 and Had it in a single 12" box with a 12" Boss Sub. It took some tweeking to find why the amp wouldnt work at first, and after hours of installation we hooked the remote wire (the wire that sends the signal to the amp to turn on when the car turns on) to the cigarette lighter in the front of the car it worked until it blew the sub a month later. I recently got the Audiobahn Alum 12" sub off of here for a great price, now that its installed into the box. We cant get the amp to turn on without jumping it from the power wire... maybe its user error but I've had more than a few problems with this amp.
