Great amp for the price

I bought this amp thinking i would get by with it for awhile till i could afford better, But man was i wrong this amp is pushing what it says its pushing. I have one Pioneer 12" hooked to this amp and it pushes it at its 250w rms no problem. If you want a great amp for the price i would suggest getting this amp. And By the way sonic has nice fast shipping and GREAT Customer support

you get what you pay for

I have this amp powering 2 pioneer 12 inch subs and it lags in the power department. It is rated at MAX 850W but it only produces max power when wired at abnormally high Ohms. It is a good starter amp but if you really want to hear the BASS invest in something stronger

good bang for the buck

I have this wired up to my MTX 7500 15" dual voice coil at 4 ohms, wired up to 2 Ohms. I used a volt meter to measure it to make sure it produced 400watts at 2 ohms. And it does, Yes on huge notes the power protect flashes lightly, but my sub still hits hard as hell. If you are looking for a beginner amp I recommend BOSS they have the best bang for the buck. The downfalls are you have to turn up the bass boost. If your looking for a great amp i would recommend MTX or Kicker they really do have great amps, some of the best i have ever heard.

Don't listen to the other guy, your not suppose to look for amps by their max rating, you are suppose to look by the RMS rating or continus power rating. This amp according to my 100$ volt meter measures up to what it says.

Great Cost/Performance

I recently revamped my audio system in my explorer and didn't want to break the bank doing it seeing how I don't plan on keeping my truck for much longer. I bought this amp just with the hope that it would give me a little extra thump by replacing my pretty much blown Eclipse amp. I have this wired up to a single 12" Polk Audio sub in a sealed box and surprisingly it sounds just as a good, if not better than my Eclipse did when it was brand new, for a huge fraction of a cost. I also replaced all my speakers and I'm blown away by the clarity of this stereo system that totaled $160 shipped. A friend of mine has the exact sub as I do in a sealed box in an altima, powered by a kicker amp and paired with 4 kicker 6x8's all around and our systems rival each other in both hard hitting bass, and clarity. Amazing surprise I must say...

boss ch850m

i had this amp powering a dub200 in a 1.67cf sealed box and... wow. it did a great job hitting anything 20hz to 120. usually went into protection mode momentarily after about an hour and a half beating on it. i was surprised to read the last review and see that it really does hit 400@2. even the manual lists 400@2 as a max power. wonderful features, great versatility, but don't forget an electronic crossover for the best results. great amp for the money hands down. it's now happily powering 2 10" infinity references in a 2006 silverado crew cab.
