Great Sub, Definitely Buy

I saw reviews of this woofer blowing out almost immediately, but bought it anyways. I love this thing, I turned the gain all the way down on the amp and my bass setting on my stereo for almost week, and slowly got it to where I like it over the course of 2 weeks. No blow out and awesome bass. In a sealed box my mirrors shake so bad I can't see out them. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

....idk

Okay, my friend purchased this sub with a hitron amp that was 50 watts below the rated rms power and within the first two weeks the sub blew! the bad part was that we were only breaking it in, not even blasting. So he let me salvage it and I found that it was a fried voice coil. Now Boss is a pretty good brand, I have a monoblock powering my 1200W Kenwood 12" and it puts a nice dent in your eardrum. This was just one of those quick projects that boss was trying to put together REALLY CHEAP. Other than that, boss is okay. Just not this sub..

Boss Subs

okay first of all don't hate on boss because they don't have high quality s***. boss is a brand where you can get decent sound for now and upgrade later. THEY ARE NOT COMPETITION SUBS!!! I would recommend boss to anyone looking for a little thump on tight budget.

perfect

I had these 2 of these subs for about 2 months and they quake. They honestly shake my whole car and nearby objects. I couldnt ask for a more perfect product.

Great Subs!

I saw some reviews that these subs blow easily. I got them running off a 400 watt mono block Lightning Audio amp. I had mines for a month and they are still rocking. Great price, great buy.

Was everything I was looking for

I purchased two of these subwoofers on a whim thinking they would help give my installation the additional bass I was looking for. I fed each subwoofer roughly 250-300 watts RMS from the Boss CX1250. When driven close to the rated power this was an affordable fix for my need for bass.

I've been surprised with how these subs can sound in the right box and driven with some decent power. Thanks Sonic!

Good Value

I would recommend this product because for the money these sound good. I purchased two kits (4 speakers 2 amps) one speaker did blow but we were cranking it UP!

Boss cx12

This has to be the worst speaker ever. It's rated for 800w or something like 200w RMS. But truthfully I hooked it up to my Rockford fosgate amp rated and CEA certified for 200w RMS bridged at 4 ohm. And it coulndt handle the amp on its lowest gain and frequency response settings. Massive distortion on minimal volumes. And the excursion is laughable. Even when distorting it excursion never made it past at most a quarter inch. Do not buy this speaker under any circumstances period
