Great amp at a great price!

Great amp! I purchased this to power a 500 watt sub in my SUV. The amp is 600 watts max but I have it down to about 65% power to preserve the life of both the amp and speaker.

You have three main sound options. Lows, Everything & Highs... Since the amp is in my SUV and I can hear everything that comes out of it I preferred the middle option.

In the low option you have a little knob that lets you chose the frequency cut-off. It works like a charm too, so if you plan on ONLY using this amp for lows, then it's a good choice.

The wired remote knob hasn't worked for me. I tried looking in the manual to see if I didn't do something right...but apparently I have it all wired right. So I'm not sure if the sub remote isn't wired right or if it doesn't work in when you have the two channels bridged.

The amp has great sound! My speaker hits a full range of frequencies and it is loud enough that I don't have to pump it up in my SUV... It could be a LOT louder if I wanted it too, but I don't. It's pushing a 500 watt max... and I want to keep my eardrums in tact for now. However, if you have it in the trunk of your car then I'm sure you could just put it in low cut mode and pump it up to exclusively get that bass.

This amp is very pretty. It doesn't have any neon lights or anything outlandish, but it does have a nice aluminum & chrome looking finish that has a space-age feel.

I spent over a hundred dollars on a 400 watt DUAL brand amp that lasted me two weeks. Then I replaced it with this. I am happier with the sound, power, quality and price with the BOSS CX450. If you are looking for a good amp to power a single sub without completely wrecking the neighborhood...Then I definitely recommend this to you. You cannot beat the quality, performance and price combination here.

Just make sure you spend 6 or 9 bucks on the extended warranty...just in case... we all know how flaky amps can be.
