These are surprisingly loud and clear for their size. I can ride at highway speeds and the music is crystal clear what a great purchase. I've already ordered a second set for my utv . Definitely would recomend them.

Great system for the money!

I will say i am impressed with this system. For the price you can't beat it. I installed it on my 2005 Victory Hammer and use it every time i am on the bike. At highway speeds sometimes it is not audible. I normally where ear plugs when out on long rides at 50+ mph. That helps block the wind and makes the stereo a bit more audible. I didn't mount them on the mirror locations, but on my windshield mount brackets. They fit well behind my Bob Dron fairing, but i am going to remount them and try to aim them up a little more. Hoping that will help with the highway speeds. Overall, great system. Small and tucks out of the way as far as the amp goes. Plenty of wire for most installs. And make sure you put a switch in on the power wire or the amp will stay on constantly.

Great sound system for motorcycle

Very loud speakers, that i can even hear in my 3/4 helmet riding 70+ mph. My motorcycle has straight pipes and that isn't bothering. The only problem is volume regulator, its no longer working. Otherwise great system for a great value!

I installed these speakers on my 2001 HD. For the most part i enjoy them and they sound pretty good if not for my loud pipes. Also wish they came with different mounts as the ones on the speakers limit how and where you can mount them but you just have to figure out what works for your bike.

Works 2nd time around!

Original unit kept blowing fuses. Their great customer service got me a replacement which worked fine. Problem is both speaker grills blew off first ride I took with the bike. Instead of trying to get replacement speakers, I just doubled up some speaker cloth I had and installed them myself. Looks good, works great.

Great product. Volume control is great, the wire is short. I mounted the amp underneath the bike but the volume control wouldn't mount anywhere accessible so I extended it myself with an Ethernet cable. Overall great sound.

Boss MC400 Review

So I purchased this product that comes with the two speakers (that are bigger than I thought they would be), and the amp... Just had to purchase a "add a fuse" from autozone for like $4... Connected it, used the seat screw for the ground wire and let her rip... I've got an 02' kawasaki Vulcan 800 bobber, decently loud, not even at full blast and this system is LOUD and worth the money!... I would recommend this product, and it got here pretty quick too...

I really like my new speakers!

I've had these speakers for a few weeks now and really like them. They aren't to bad for the price I was very surprised.
I've road on the interstate and no need to turn all the way up, I still heard my music just fine. I'd say they were up 2/3rds of the way. My bike does have diffent pipes then stock and it is pretty load.
Around town I don't even have the volume half way. I installed a equalizer app on my phone to set the bass and it works pretty good so the music isn't a little twangy at the higher volumes.
My husband and I had a time putting them on my bike as there isn't a whole lot of room on my mini ape bars on my HD Sportster Seven-two. They fit well on each side of the speedometer looks pretty cool. My husband added a switch so I can turn the power off right by my ignition switch. He connected it to the windshield detachable frame. All the wires and amp were place in a nice little 4x8 leather bag placed above my headlight for support and what wires we needed were threaded through with the other wires of the bike to the battery. He as well, installed a fuse as recommended.
Oh, and they came with clamps someone said in a review they had to buy them so I did. Those didn't fit right because my bars have a bit of a curve where I wanted them so we used what came with the speakers and they worked perfectly because they seem to be designed for a curve if needed.
All in all I am very happy with my purchase. If your looking for a little music while your riding you should try these, and they don't break the bank.

Ok system

Speaker system was ok, but just to much treble and hardly any bass for me,want a good mix of both,these were being used for a polaris Rzr,but in that small of an area ,to much treble,just strikes a nerve, but for those who like more treble than bass they would be perfect.

Ok so I ordered the boss mc400 It took me a while to put it on the first night trying to figure out wich way would look best to mount but that's cuase I'm o.c.d lol but I got it on took me 2.5 hours but I was happy rode around the block for about 5 min then it shut off ! Wow amp went dead I notifield sonic electronix next morning they told me to send it back it took about 10 days to get my new unit but the one they sent me has been tuning strong since and I use it everyday during my ride to work and on weekends when I ride with the homies not to bad at all !!!!

I must say at first for the price, the look and sound were great. However, they are chesp. Not one BUT both speakers the bolts arent even strong enough to hold the speakers and I had them crack off 2 days after purchase. Now im out money and speakers

System not hard to install took a little bit because I didn't want wires to show on my bike can here sound on freeway the only thing I wish it had was more base

An alright product for the price.

The speakers are really sensitive to temperature, they decide to work when they wish. They also get a real bad idle noise from my engine on my motorcycle. I professionally installed them and they make a sound I've never healed before. Aside from the noise I really like the product.

Bought 2 of these units...

My brother and I both bought one of these units for our bikes. Mine is a 2013 HD, FLD Switchback, his a 2013 Sportster Custom. On the Switchback, the system is awesome. Hooked it up to a Sirius XM unit and sounds great! On the Sportster however, it doesn't get loud.
My brother contacted Boss and after some toubleshooting they sent him a new amplifier. We hooked it up and still does not get nearly as loud as the Switchback's system. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I re-checked all of my wiring and there were no breaks so I'm figuring it has something to do with the speakers. Any ideas?

Nice speakers system easy to install has wonderful sound. Can easily be tucked away in a handlebar tool bag. Like the volume control knob.

i have it on a 1200 sportster with a supertrapp supermeg exhaust and can hear it just fine at any speed,can"t always tell what the song is due to the wind noise.i would recommend this system

For the price, this is the absolute best you can get. I rode today, 70moh and could hear it just fine. I have it behind my windshield and that helps funnel the sound toward me.

The speakers i ordered are great they are loud and can easily be heard over my exhaust at highway speeds. Great price and good quality.

well I would say the radio works better then I thought. the only thing is when I connected the head unit I had my bike to the amp got extra feedback and popping nois and alot of static waiting on a ground loop isolator noise filter and a different head unit hopefully that works at least that's what I was told

Boss MC400 Amp and Speakers

I had purchased a motorcycle radio with waterproof speakers and had mounted it on my lawn mower. I was able to hear the radio over the mower, but the speakers that were supplied with the radio were not made to be at full volume and the sound was awful. I purchased the Boss MC400 amp and high wattage speakers and installed them on the mower , replacing the factory speakers. This system sounds awesome. At less than half volume the radio is as loud as it was. The sound that comes out of the high wattage speakers is clear and powerful. There is no need to turn the volume up full blast anymore.
This is a great unit that I would suggest to anyone. It is well worth the money. It also makes mowing the lawn a party!
