Plenty bang for yur buck.

My brother has had this amp for more than a year now and it has never had problems with overheating or anything. This amp is powerful and wont overheat but some of the settings on the amp could be better. On the amp you can choose between 0 and 16db bass boost so pretty much you either have semi loud bass and really loud bass so i would recommend getting a bass remote.

Boss rt850 Amp

For the price, this amp is unbelieveable. Sonic Electronix is offering a great product at an unbelieveable price. I use this amp to dirve one (1) 12" Volfenhag DVC subwoofer and it pounds! Not the greatest features, but if all you are looking for is great Bass, get this amp!

great

This is a great amp for anyone looking to run a decent system, it only puts out 160 watts RMS @2ohms and peaks out at 850, maybe, however this thing never distorts, or heats up, i run it for hours and hours at a time at full gain, and gives me no problems, i'm excited to see what the other boss riot amplifiers have to offer.

Bang for the buck!!!

I don't have a lot of money to pour into a sound system for my car. I had previously purchased a Boss Ripper-595 and it was nice, so I decided to try Boss again. I am here to say that I'm far from disappointed. I've got it running a single 10" dvc SPL ML-10W and it hits HARD. The bass control feature is great (comes with all Boss amps). For under $100, I've got an amp that has the sub sounding like I have 2 or 3 in the trunk as opposed to just one.

Great Sound, Small Package

I purchased this amp from this site, to power 2 12" Sony P5's.
I can tell you that this amp is a deal! It is very small making it easy to install. As well, although the RMS rating is not that much (400@2ohms) it can more than power sub(s) with low RMS power ratings. Little or no distortion. The full spectrum cross-over works very well allowing subs to creat bass as well as some mid-range. However, the low-pass is not up to par; needs a great range of frequencies. All in all for the money its a great value you will not be disappointed! unless you are running at 4ohms!

Worthy of being in your car

this amp sounds nice, and you cant beat the price. its small, so it can be put almost anywhere without being in the way. The only thing is the manual included does not expain the settings very well. other than that, excellent amp
