Bang for the Buck
You can't go wrong with any Boston products. Got this G110-44 in a single box in my Chevy Silverado powerd by an old soundstream class a 100 and it sounds great! Never bought entry level line always pro series but i highly recommend this sub when set up properly. It will give you bang for the buck!

Good sound for small size.
Ordered this sub to replace JL Audio 12" sub in my regular cab pickup. JL had great sound but I placed behind my seat and it cut down on my leg room. Went to this slim size sub and box and it really helped with leg room. Did I get the same sound and boom? No. I get good low notes but it doesn't shake the rearview mirror except on certain songs. Is it a bigger enough difference to switch back to JL? No. The trade-off is acceptable and I do get the low bass I love to hear. If space is an issue in your ride, get this. If you have plenty of space, go for regular size sub.

GREAT subs!!!
I love this sub. It is one of the cleanest-sounding subs I have ever heard in it's price range. I don't care if it is not as loud as the competition, these things sound fantastic. These are great for adding some oomph to just about any genre, not just rap or dubstep. I have two of these in a single-cab Ranger in a sealed box I had to design and create myself being fed 480 RMS from a Massive Audio NX2. Honestly, I think these subs are slightly underrated because when they were being fed 400 RMS with my old amp (that I fried), they hit pretty good, but not as loud and not as clean as they do now. In fact, even after months of playing them with 400 RMS, they didn't feel like they ever really "broke-in" or loosened up. When I started feeding them 480 RMS, a week later they came ALIVE! I recommend feeding about 450-500 RMS to two of these because that is where they really shine. Boston Acoustics is a brand I will definitely buy from again.
Oh and two things, the subs I got had the more attractive black center cap, which was a very pleasant surprise when I opened up the box. And the DVC thing is more like a SVC, that can be switched from 8 ohms to 2 ohms. When looking at Sonic's (fantastic) subwoofer wiring tool, select SVC and either two or eight ohm settings. If you want a four-ohm setup, then look at the G110-4, which is the exact same thing but with only the four-ohm setting.
Hope those two bits of info helped.

2 boston g110 44s in silverado
If you like JL audio and you know the way they sound, you wont like these subs. I have been kicking myself since the day i put these bostons in my truck, I wanted to use a down-fire underseat box and I let this guy at the stereo shop tell me they sounded just as good as jl 10s and $100 a peice plus $170. for the box ;$400.00 later and I hate em. could have went with a different underseat box and got a couple jl10s for under $200.00 and been happy with it, the cheapest jls are a better sub than these in my opinion.
