kicker aint sh*t

i had 2 12" kicker cvr in a ported box, i thought it sounded good, until a buddy of mine showed me his system, he had one of these G3's in a sealed box, it just sounded 10x better than mine, so i sold my kickers
and bought one of these last night

Great sub

I just got this sub yesterday. i have just one in a sealed ground shaker box and it sounds amazing. Puts out nice clean bass but can also deliver power when needed. if you're looking for a sub that gives clean undistorted bass at moderate power this is the sub you need.

amazing

i got 2 of these a little while back. i have them in a ported box. im running them off a 2400w amp with about 300w rms to each and the sound is ridiculous. this is by far the best sub for the money.

Clean

Absolute steal. If you are choosing between a few sets of similar priced woofers, this is the one you are looking for. I have it in a sealed enclosure running off an Alpine PDX 1.600. Do not be afraid to throw some watts at it. Im running 600 RMS. However, like most subwoofers, it requires break in time. It took about two weeks for it to fully break in. I also noticed a 30 to 40 percent increase in "loudness." I have owned several woofers before including the alpine type R, and the Jl w3. Out of all of them the Boston is by far the best. Type R yes indeed was a little louder, but just didnt sound as clean as the G3. The W3 I believe is similar to the G2. Sounds ten times better than any kicker cvr or cvx. If you are choosing between a few woofers around the same price, get the g3.
