Good midbass - harsh tweeters
I found these to be a pretty good speaker for the price. Sound quality was pretty good from the woofer. Midbass was pretty decent once the door panel was properly sealed and deadened.
The tweeter however was FAR too bright for my liking. Even attenuated heavily it was impossible to listen to them for any length of time. If you're like me and prefer a softer tweeter I'd recommend against buying these. power handling is questionable too , I had a voice coil go after only owning them for less than 2 weeks despite powering them well within acceptable range.

Outstanding!
Sound is exceptional, just as you would expect from Boston Acoustics. Power handling is also exceptional and slightly overpowered with a 150w rms/channel Alpine amp, coupled with their high 1w/1m sensitivity, these speaker get intensely loud. Tweeters are very bright.
I got two pairs for front and rear. The really nice thing about these speakers is that the tweeters come mounted in the center as a coaxial and can re removed with a 'twist out' system. Multiple 'cups' are provided for flush mount, surface mount and angled surface mount of the tweeters.
The tweeter grill does not have any labelling, so my install of the mids behind factory grills and flush mount of the tweeters looks totally stock, decreasing the probability of theft.
In the rear, I left the tweeters in the center, like a coaxial speaker, easing my installation, since the sound stage in the rear isn't as important to me. The benefit here is mostly in power handling. You likely won't find a great sounding 6.5 coaxial that can handle 125w rms.
