Nothing Beats BAs in a car

I got these speakers to replace the aging OEMs in my Maxima. I have owned BAs in the past and for my ear they are the only car speakers that sound like real speakers. Plus, they fill the car with great sound that doesn't strain the ears.

Very nice

I installed 4 of these (actually a pair of S65 and a pair of S65RC) in my '99 Altima. They sounded good right away, but as I upgraded the source they really shined. I went from the stock radio/CD to a JVC with HD Radio. They sounded good with the stock unit, very good with the JVC on FM, and excellent with the HD radio (didn't have a CD in the car during installation). They are very clear and sharp sounding, with respectable bass. I listen to hard rock much of it with a lot of bass (like Tool), and they do a decent job, but you'll need a sub-woofer if you want to rattle the windows insanely. Fitting them was a pain, but they eventually worked.

boston acoustic s65

Installed in a friends Toyota sequoia. Sounded ok with stock stereo. No lows. Would be great with some subs.

BA65

Good bang for the buck. All the five star reviews are due to it being so inexpensive. Again - good bang for the buck.

Amazing

These speakers sound beautiful. Boston Acoustics never disappoint me, and these are no exception. Very good quality sound. I do not have these things amped or anything and they can certainly play loud without distorting even just off the deck. Highly recommend Boston products.

Sick speakers

Throw em up on an amp and they go hard. I have 2 boston 6.5's and 4 6x9's in my car and when my sub blew the other day people thought I still had a 8 of 10" sub in my car cuz they hit pretty hard. only complaint is a had to alter my door so the'y fit, they are a lot bigger than stocks.

Awesome!

I know Boston Acoustics is building very fine speaker systems especially good for classical and jazz. As I thought, the sound is very well balanced and detailed. Very sweet mid and highs. Low frequencies are tight. Overall very low distortion, clean and sweet sound. Now I'm thinking replacing the original '01 Maxima stereo to maximize the ability of this speaker. Strong recommendation.

Bostons s65

Great speakers for the Money. Originally had them in my 89 Chevy Truck. Moved them a good five years later into another Vehicle. There Clearence make them harder to fit ibto a lot of newer vehicles. Upraded to the s65RC. same basic speaker with almost identicale sound. Excellent lows as well as highs.

Great sound for a great price

My younger brother was reading the audio in his truck and I recommended these and a pair of S55s since he is just running them off of his head unit. He had purchased the head unit and a Sony 10" sub for his Dodge Dakota Sport and the stock speakers just couldn't keep up with the sub. He wanted something that he would be able to run off the radio, but would put out enough sound that he wouldn't have to turn down his sub and these great exceeded that need. The quality of these speakers incredible, especially at the price that sonic is selling them for.

Great Buy

Great sound for the money. Installed in my son's 2009 Corolla S front doors. Huge improvement over factory speakers. These are high quality and appear to have enough Bass for him. I like them, too.

Excellent value- Good sound

I know these are low-end speakers from Boston Acoustics, but these are far better than more expensive speakers I auditioned locally and compared in car after installation. The mid and Treble is very good, bass is hard hitting, but does not extend to low frequencies that well.

But that is case all speakers I tried under $200 from local Car Toys(includes Apline, JL Audio, Focal etc).

These are meant for receivers without external amps, so do not give too much power, they were distorting even with my after market deck, but I never use that much volume. All in all these speakers are very good at especially at the price offered here on Sonic Electronix. Keeping the intended use in mind, I highly recommend these speakers.

nice service

I was impressed by your service & I wish that every company could do the same method. I ordered some Boston Acoustic S65 speakers and these speakers are the best speakers i have ever owned. the only problem was the hardware that came with the speakers. I own a gmc canyon and I found the perfect solution to installing these speakers.if you own a chevy colorado or an isusu i series or a gmc canyon the best way to install them is to use a 1/2 speaker extensions they need to be bigger in the inside diameter than the standard extensions I also found that the door panels have a weakness for rattling. the best solution & the cheapest is to mask of the whole speaker area spray a bed liner undercoating & let it set up for a 1/2 hour then put the door panels back on and that it totally eliminates any rattle or distortion. and that the extensions need to be made out of plastic. the undercoating is avallable at most auto parts stores for 10$ a can.

Good speaker, good value.

I purchased these to match my boston s95s in the rear deck of my civic, by the way they DO NOT fit well in a 98 civic.. they are very deep so I had to take a 4" grinder to my door panel for the install. After they were installed however, I hooked them up to my Kenwood KDC-x791 and they sounded... good, the tweeter is great and makes really clear sound but there was little to no bass. I later added a KAC-6404 to power all 4 speakers, (40x4) and it increased the bass a little, still not the boomiest speakers out but for the cheap price, can't beat it. They sound really good and clear even at relatively high volumes and the problem can easily be fixed by adding a sub to the set up, very good speakers for the money.

Boston Sound

I thought it was all hype but there is an honest to goodness difference in Boston products and it shines through. These speakers sound very good at moderate levels but really come to life when pushed with a quality amp.

Best speakers for this price, you will not find better

Awesome speakers for the price! Boston Acoustics are the top of the line! They blow my sony xplods away. They are way better speakers. I aready blew the xplods and the Bostons are still going strong. Can distort with too much power, but they will take a lot of power. They are super loud, wonderful sound through all ranges, even have bass. Best with aftermarket head unit. Buy them!!

CAR SPEAKERS

The sales person was real nice and the speakers sound great. Would buy them again. Only thing-wish they were made in USA. I do not like to but things made in China if I can help it.
