Boston sr95

Boston sr95 is a good clean sounding speaker but it doensn't have a boom like other 6x9's out there. The clarity is good but you need a sub to make your music sound complete. In my car i have four 6x9's so to me i need 12" subs to balance it out cu'z they are loud make sure you got monster cable rca's it makes the music much cleaner. Sonic Electronix store is the best store to shop cu'z they've got fair price and you'l get the real thing if you know what i mean.

A true joke

I purchased A set of Boston Acoustics SR95. This turned out to be the worst speaker purchase to date. The quality is completely gone from the company. The speaker took a week to start rattling and come apart. I was completely unimpressed. I would give this and most Boston Acoustics products a no go. Spend more and get alot more.

Great Speakers

I purchased them because they were a drop in fit for my car. They sound so much better than the factory equipment. Great price as well.

Great Speakers

Great sounding speakers! If you are into a heavy bass sound you will not like these speakers. However, if you like the warm, natural sound you will love these speakers. Definitely recommended.

Great Sound

I installed these speakers in my 2007 Dodge Ram Quad Cab front doors powered by the Boston Acoustics GTA-275. I have the SC65's in the rear, and a G310-44 subwoofer powered by a GT-400M. They system has a very clear and crisp sound. Cymbals and vocals come through very clear which seems to be difficult in a truck. I do think that a subwoofer is a necessity with these speakers in the Ram. I set my high pass filter to 62Hz, and have not heard any distortion even at extremely loud volume.

Get what you pay for.

This is a great set of 6x9 speakers. Great sound quality. Good mid range bass and piercing highs. I would not hesitate to buy anothewr pair.

THE BEST

The following review is for a previous version (SL95).

These are the BEST 6x9 I've ever heard before. I don't know what that says really as I have not heard every 6x9 out there, but I've always used high-end Pioneer or Infinity speakers in the past. The clarity is supreme and the bass reproduction is fantastic. NO distortion at high volume levels. Just a well-made gem! And for the price that Sonic Electronix can offer them, a great value as well. I also purchased the Pro60 SE component set, and that's a different story. They are by no means terrible, but matched up against the SL95's...no comparison. Do more research if you're thinking of pairing these awesome 6x9 with that component set.

great sound

These about the best I have ever owned. Paired up with some Polk 6.5's, the sound quality can't be beat.

beautiful sounds

Boston's always have a beautiful natural sound and these speakers are no exception- lovely full bass tones and clean, crisp trebles.
You won't regret buying Bostons over any other brand.

Look at the specs!

The following review is for a previous version (SL95).

Look at the specs on these 6x9's, they drop down to 35hz!, i have theses hooked up to a 4 channel amplifier, and i am blown away at the accuracy, and the ability that these 6x9's can produce low bass. The tweeters on these speakers are phenominal, and the voice coil is extremely durable. Boston Acoustics is the weapon of choice, so load your car up with these 6x9's.
