Don't bother!
This iPod holder was a waste of money. The cable is supposed to snap in at the bottom; it doesn't. I ended up hot gluing my cable to the opening. It is supposed to clip onto the side of your glove box, but then the box can't close! You have to fuss and wrangle to get the ipod to connect to the cable. You may as well just lay your ipod in the box by itself.
