cerwin vega makes some of the best speakers.they lead the way price to performance ratio.i dont know what reveiwer did below but i have owned this product twice and both times they hit and hit hard.dont let the price fool you these speakers are no joke.i would compare to alpine type r for sound.reviewer below probably did not have an external amp hooked up you give these speakers 25-50 watts rms and watch out.off a head unit though they dont produce great bass.like any high powered performance speaker you need an amp!if i could give these speakers a 10 for value i would.buy them; hook them up to an amp and you'll see what i mean.

i put a set of four in a 93 honda civic and no matter what i did the cones wouldnt produce good mid bass and after about two months the surround started falling apart
