Stroker

This Cerwin Vega Stroker is a good sub but not worthy of the Stroker name. Unlike is past brothers, this sub does not hit nearly as hard or as deep as its counterparts. Older Strokers could easily handle 2000w RMS of power. With that amount of juice, these Strokers will be history in no time. If your not into SPL and want clear and controlled bass, these are definately your subs. If you want overkill on bass, then stick to its previous series.

stroker 122

This thing pounds. I am pushing 1150 watts rms to it. Down side is haven't seen where you could buy replacement cone if needed.

2 Strokers In S-10xt

I have two of the 4ohm subs and i have them in my S10 extended truck. I have them on the Stroker 2000.1 amp briged at 1ohm. I had to to put a secound battery and an 200amp over sized alternator in the truck just to handle it. I blew both the subs cause i had them in to small of a box, but Cerwin Vega sells the recone kits. Im going to get a bigger box and get them repaired. Best sub i have ever owned and it took almost a year to blow them at 2000watts rms @1ohm in a small 1.6 box. Cerwin vega techs say to small of a box with super low bass with make the spider seperate(witch it did). Other then my own stupidy of the box you cant beat these subs.

WOW

I have been missing with stereo equipment for a very long time, this sub is amazing, Cerwin-Vega STKR122 is loud and produces a lot of bass. I would strongly recommend this sub for the true bass heads you will not be disappointed.

a stroker?

I have the oldschool strokes. When i hear cv STROKER i think of yellow spyder on top of cone with a gold pin strokin!! These subs are good sq and verry loud! But not spl like the old school ones. They take a wayyy smaller box then the old ones. Better then w7 forsure! if your used to the oldschool you will be dissapointed though.

best subwoofer available and at half price!!! damn good deal!

i own the previous model of the stroker, it is the best subwoofer i have ever heard/felt in my life, and i am EXTREMELY happy with it. my single 12 inch hammers harder than any system i have ever heard, these puppies are worth close to 800 and a deal this cheap is insane, i plan to purchase this model soon and i recommend it to everyone who likes a LOT of umph in their vehicle.

holy loudness

The following review is for a previous version (Stroker-122).

Have 1 in my grand prix and holy cow its loud. built box to specs and brought this sub alive. in a sealed box the SQ was amazing and had a heck of a kick to hit. if you can get ahold of one i suggest you do.

holy crap

The following review is for a previous version (Stroker-122).

i bought this 12 inch stroker and installed it in my car. i quickly found out after going to a professional that this sub was worth 700 dollars but discontinued by that time. my 1 stroker beats harder than any of my friends systems, including 3 12 inch JLs that my cousin owns. when turned up, my entire vehicle vibrates, the mirrors vibrate so much it is impossible to see out of them. my friends get in my vehicle and the first thing they say is holy s***. my seats shake violently, it tickles your fingers to hold on to the steering wheel, strokers are the only subwoofer i will ever buy and i reccomend them to anyone, im going to buy the newest model soon and add to my collection, although my one 12 inch hammers so hard that another will most likely destroy whats left of my already fragile vehicle. this is one hell of a deal and if you want a good sub get the stroker soon while they're still almost half price

Great subs

These subs are great subs. Deep bass you can feel thru your chest standing outside the car. Even as much as I like these and definitely recommend them I have to say the strokers I had in 1999-2005 were a hell of a lot better don’t get me wrong these are bad ass and wouldn’t trade them for anything (except the ones I had before) but my other ones I had for 6 years and never blew them and I pushed those subs to the limit all the the whole time I had them in my car. Either way you can’t go wrong with Vega Strokers if you want loud deep bass that shakes the ground around you and give the females sitting in your ride a good orgasm.

Bleeding ears

The following review is for a previous version (STROKER12).

I have this sub in a 1.15 cu ft slot ported enclosure in my '05 Mustang driven by 2400 watts and with the gain at 10% and the remote sub level at 0 it rattles both mirrors , the brake lights , and many interior panels.
But it's not just loud , it's solid and thick. It rumbles and thumps all the way down below 10 htz. I've had this setup for 2 1/2 yrs and it still feels stiff and shows no signs of wear.
The fact that you can replace the cone in the field means you may never need to replace it.
