Super clean!!

The following review is for a previous version (VEGA102.2).

I was alittle hesitant to get these because the RMS is so low. Glad I did! I got two of them in a vented box im my brothers expedition. Wired at 2 ohm's, runing off a 1500 watt mono amp. The gain is all the way down and I couldnt believe how hard and clean they sound. I am very satisfied with Cerwin Vega!! Pros- clean look , clean sound and very affordable!! I would get these again!! Cons, havent found any.

Vega 102

The following review is for a previous version (Vega-102).

Very impressed so far! I have had them for about a week and love them so far. Build quality seems better than most subs in this price range. Thick rubber surrounds and a stiff cone make for a less efficient sub, but they look like they should take a pounding. Don't pay attention to the 200w RMS, I would try to get an amp that will push about 300w RMS. I have them hooked to the FLI monoblock amp I bought here, that is pushing 600w RMS at 2 ohms to the two subs. I have them in a sealed enclosure, just slightly less than the 0.7 cu. ft. recommended and they hit deep and tight. Being controlled by a Kenwood deck with sub outputs. Everything is very clean and accurate. I listen almost exclusively to rock, so I need everything fast and tight and these do that extremely well in a sealed box. They are not quite as loud as I had expected, but the only experience I have to draw from is my days as a teenager when I thought it was cool to let my whole neighborhood know I was coming with my ported boxes and gain cranked to max. But I am sure that if I had these in a ported box with bass, gain, and subwoofer volume all cranked it would be louder than I need them to be. I would buy these again in a heartbeat, especially at the sale price (they are cheaper than the HED line, which is Cerwin Vega's lower end model). PS. The Red surrounds and black cone look very good in a black carpet box.

Cerwin-Vega VEGA102.2 best bang for the buck

The following review is for a previous version (VEGA102.2).

This has to be the best 10" sub for the money I have ever owned. I am running this sub in a .75 sealed box with 500 watts and it absolutely hammers for a single 10. Completely satisfied.

hitt good

The following review is for a previous version (Vega-102).

I have two of these hooked up to my home stereo and they sound like six hundred rms JL's. For the price you cant beat it. I love sonic wish i had heard of them sooner, so far i have bought sveral products from them and all exceded in performance. I recomend these subs to everyone and Cerwin Vega has been around a long long time.

vega needs 1cf box or 1 lb of fill in .7 box (sealed)

The following review is for a previous version (VEGA102.2).

i purchased a 10" cerwin vega 102.2 sub from sonic a fosgate prime r500.1 a .7 cf box to fit the sub in. im running the sub in 4ohms and was very unsatisfied with the lack of low frequency response from the combo. i decided to buy some polyfill to stuff the box in and wow what a differance. before the stuff the lows would bottom out. after the fill the lows harmonize very well and the sub responds well. if purchaseing this sub get at least a .9cf box.

Good sub, good price,

The following review is for a previous version (Vega-102).

This is an awesome sub, it sounds good, but sometimes it sounds a little hollow, I wish they didnt use the material they did for the woofer cone. Make sure you have enough power to drive this thing and it will be loud for you.

greattttt valuee

The following review is for a previous version (Vega-102).

I've had many installs behind my back and that isnt the half of it lets just say ive worked in an audio shop for 2 years now these subs are great for the price i got 4 in a yukon on a db drive 2500.1. Subs bang nothingg compared to an re audio sex but great value. Cant take very much power though, if you do some math subs are perfect not for somebody whos blown subs this size before and i dont really like the orange foam surround it looks cheap.

It's a Cerwin Vega

The following review is for a previous version (VEGA102.2).

You can't go wrong with Cerwin Vega. This woofer sounds great in my 350Z, driving it with a Cerwin Vega SX 220.2 amp, to replace the wimpy stock Bose woofer.

Cerwin Vega subs R top of the food chain!

The following review is for a previous version (Vega-102).

I just bought two of these cerwin vega subs and i have an RE AUDIO xt 800 pushing them and they hit so hard and the bass is so clean that people come up to my car and say o my god the bass is so deep and clean! I jus love the look of the black box and the red and black cerwin vega logo. The subs are made to last a long time and sound very loud and always turns head to see what is that big deep clean booming soud. I think Sonic Electronix is a good company and very good timely shipping right on time! WOW.
