Love the way it Looks!

The following review is for a previous version (VEGA3152).

For a wood working project in school I built a 100% oak subwoofer box. Box is ported and tuned to about 37 HZ and sounds great. Before putting the cerwin vega in the box i originally placed a JL w6 12" subwoofer and it really pounded hard. But i really wanted the cerwin vega for the way it looks. This 15 sub doesn't come close to the 12" JL or even the 10" rockford fosgate T1, which gets so deep for a 10 by the way. I currently use the T1 in my car but those subwoofers cost 3 times as much. I have this sitting next to a pair of dx-9 cerwin vega tower speakers in my house and it does shake the walls like crazy. I happened to get this for $80 dollars on sale and would recomend it to a friend. It is the best looking sub ever but will not knock you off your feet. This thing is louder than all my friends set-ups but if you want to impress people I would go with the higher end subwoofer. After owning about 5 subs i will say that you kind of get what you pay for but for the price of this thing you get a lot.

not bad

The following review is for a previous version (VEGA152).

I was sold, this sub, plus a sealed box, plus installation for I believe $225. It was an okay upgrade from my previous 2 10" bazookas on 300w. I have a 700.1crunch amp atm and only have it turned up 3/5 of the way. I was sold this sub thinking it was the 400rms/800peak watt sub so I figured I could turn my amp up all the way, which later I am disappointed to say, I can not. I will say for the size of the magnet, it performs pretty well, but there are many other subwoofers within $30-50 of this sub that would run circles around it.
