vega for life

These subs are great. Hit hard sound clean and will put all other subs to shame I'm pushing them with an audiobahn 300rms class d with those vmax I have put other people's cars to shame. They push over 1000 watts with cvr and mostly Kicker subs they hate me now lol I have older vegas from early 90's(r.i.p) and even those knocked people's socks off. lets just say amp was 40watts rms and subs were 100tops rms so you see vega stand high on quality

Absolute Fantastic Subwoofers

These subs are so well built. Huge magnets and solid construction. I have my 2 12's in a sealed enclosure running at 1 ohm off a Hifonics Brutus Mono amp. My amp is giving them 1600 watts rms power and my subs handle the power great. I could not be happier with my purchase so far. These subs while not known for the "big company" name are seriously your best buy on the market. A great price and super performance.

LOUD

These puppies are loud as hell. I have 2 of these hooked up to a 1500 watt amp and they bang really loud.

boom!

I had the old 124 vega vegas from back in the day so i thought these would be the same. The thing i like about these new subs is that they take a way smaller box. Other than that they sound good but not like they used to :( I recomend them though. Oh yeah there a little bit bigger then normal 12s.

Great Subs

Currently i have two running at 900 rms, in a ported box and then my entire car. However, i want more power so i am buying two more. Don't get me wrong these things put out more bass than most people will ever have in their car, I just want more. In my new set up they will be in sealed boxes getting 1850 rms. Amazing product you wont regret buying it.

great sub

right off the back i have to say this is a great sub-i only have one for the time being-but this sub really gives so much bass-i have it hooked up to an alpine m-650 wired down to 2ohms-n this thing handles the power with ease-and i did find out that it doesnt fit in a pre cut 12" box-but not a big problem at all-cant wait till i get my 2nd one and a mb quart onyx 1500.1 amp

I have installed two of these bad boys in a 2000 ford focus ZX3 on a Powerbass 1500.1 amp and i have more bass that i asked for... Now Im building a box for three and my mind just boggles at what am going to get... i think when they sell these woofers it should come with ear muffs....

Very solid sound at a good price

I have 2 of these speakers in a sealed fiberglass box. They replaced 2 12" L5 Kickers and were almost just as loud. I have been rocking these guys for about 5 months and have had no problems.

As I expected cerwin vega is yet to make a bad product! This sub is well built , its a looker and performs nicely! Adequate cooling, xmax and motor structure.

just make sure that your 12" sub opening on your box is wide enough for this puppy. I had to use a sawzall and make small triangular wedge-shaped holes in order to accomodate the metal fins on this sub. I was wondering why it wouldn't just fit directly into the dual vented box I had. I wish these subs had the same protective fins as the old '06 model.

Outstanding subs

The Cerwin Vega name has been around forever. Even though I haven't bought anything of theirs in quite some time, I still felt pretty confident in my purchase. I installed two of these subs into one of our Strombus boxes and was totally blown away. The sound was very clean and vision blurring loud. I loved what they did to my Aztec. I will absolutely buy more of these sub and would recommend them to anyone.

Best bang for the buck

I own just one of this bad boy and it pounds like crazy! If you want a great sub without breaking the bank, do not look elsewhere. I had to turn down my bass on my radio to negative six (-6) to hear the vocals. Only problem that i had was it could not fit in a prefab box that I ordered. A trip down to a local hardware store and a six dollar grinder would do the trick.

My budget build:
SUB: cerwin-Vega V-max 124 ($129).
AMP: Crunch P1400.2 (129)
BOX: sonicelectronix ported box ($50 shipping included).
Amp kit ($19.99)

As always, SONICELECTRONIX has the fastest shipping time and they packed the items carefully!

SOUNDS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER SUB

MY FRIEND HAS 2 L7 KICKERS AND 1600W @ 2OHMS AMP PUSHIN THEM, AND THE VEGAS JUST BLEW THEM AWAY, THE BASS IS TIGHT AND DEEP. AND IS WORTH THE MONEY. WHEN U BUY THEM, JUST TO LET U KNOW, THE SUBS ARE OVERSIZED 12'S. DVC @ 500WRMS 1000W MAX. CAN'T BEAT IT. POWER BY R/F T1000.1BD AMP TO PUSH 1000 WATTS @ 1 OHM YES, THE AMP IS 1 OHM STABLE. THE SUBS HIT VERY HARD, NO MATTER WHAT TYPE OF BOX U USE.

Vega did it again

These subs are crazy, lows are hard and tight, excursion is tremendous, with the right amp and box, you'll rattle something apart. i have 2 of these vmax, connected to a T1000.1bd R/F amp, 2.0 cap, and optima yellow top battery in the trunk, yes 2 batteries and a denso 100 amp alternator. i would recommend these subs worth the price. i plan to buy one more of these subs, so i can hit much harder.

Retro fit in house speakers

I have some Cerwin Vega LS12's which are some tower floorstanding house speakers. I blew both woofers in the towers, and instead of replacing them I thought how to upgrade them. I melted the xovers too, so I soldered in 700w selenium pro audio xovers, and installed two 124 v max subs. I have a 1200w x 2 RMS concert amp powering this frankenstien monster, I think I had shifted the foundation in my condo building a few feet- holy $#!*. My clothes were flapping from across the room! The cabinets are huge and with this sub, the bass was so low, you couldn't hear it sometimes just feel everything in the house shaking. Neighbors complained pictures in their house, and nic nacs all fell of the wall and on the floor. Time to get a house and push it. Want to do this with XLS215 towers and I8000 crown amps now...whoohoo

GREAT!!

These subwoofers are very good. i just got my order today, two of these bad boys together in a ported box. i have them hooked up to an alpine mp500 amp, at 4ohms their only getting 150rms a piece and wow....they really bump at such a low power. im going to buy a new amp rated at 800rms at 4ohms to really push these to their full potential. the only problem is the cage around the woofer, the spokes are too big for standard 12" openings, but it's nothing i rotozip or sawzall cant fix (on the box of course). i had to put foam in the holes, cause i made them too big. all in all a great product tho. i am very pleased. and thanks sonic for the fast shipping, and great low prices!
