The following review is for a previous version (VMAX102).

Bass kicked in and the Vegas are pumpin! As always these vegas sound as good as 300-400 dollar subs and cost a third of the price.

Clean Bass, a definate slummper

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX102).

I got this speaker for Christmas, and I hooked it up in my Acura TL 2002. It is in a sealed box that i made to specs, it SLUMMPS. Now I am going to make a ported box for it. I have it hooked up to a boss mono block amp sounds great, clean bass all around good quality. For the price I can not complain, definitely recommend this speaker. Thanx SONIC ELECTRONICS,and FAM 4 support, most of all MY FIANCE.

QUALITY SUB FOR THE PRICE

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX102).

First thing I would like to say is that Cerwin Vega is an old school brand that has been around for over 55 years making quality products. These V-Max subs are no exception to the quality of Cerwin Vega. However price wise, they will give you excellent low end bass, sound quality, durability and phenomenal looks at half the cost of higher priced but not necessarily better subs. I have my 2 V-Max 102 subs in a custom made 1.25 cubic ft per woofer box tuned to 35hz and I get lows, clarity and loudness all in one package. Like other reviews said the low end bass (30-40hz) is the best in the business. The upper bass range 50-80hz is also top quality. Cerwin Vega these days doesn't have the fancy name as they used to however the quality of their products is the same. I owned Cerwin Vega in the late 80's and now and the quality is the same. I have owned other more popular sub brands and these V-Maxes with the space requirements, price and quality outperform the majority of them. I have owned these for about a year and I have no complaints.

WHEN OR IF YOU BUY THESE SUBS YOU ARE GETTING A QUALITY SUBS WITH THE BEST LOW END BASS IN THE MARKET AT A GREAT PRICE. DON'T BE AFRAID TO BUY THEM BECAUSE IF YOU DO YOU WILL NEVER LOOK BACK.

Subbin With Four Of These Monsters

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX102).

I have 1997 S10 and as soon as I saw these I knew I had to have them I bought four of them and they blew away my expectations I have all four hooked up to a Crunch P 1500.1 and are under powered and still shake the screws loose and any one or anty thing around my rear and front windsheild start to flex and I'm heard down the block I start car alarms and got out of a ticket because the cop like my subs so much they have an overside frame but u just need to go at the box with a jig saw well worth the money

Great sub, very impressed

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX102).

Really pushed things by putting this in a sealed truck box. Had to custom the box due to the mounting depth and oversized diameter of the sub. Wired in a 1 ohm load to the SSL amp I also reviewed, and not sure it's a good match, I feel it's underpowered although response is still great and the sub performs beyond my expectations.

Great Value; even better sound

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX102).

I'm sorry I didn't write down the name of the rep I spoke with. HE was great. I originally wanted to order a pair of Image Dynamics that were on back order. The rep I spoke with recommended these. Man what a great fit. I'm running these with a RF Prime 1000 at 2ohm (probably 500 rms) and they tune very, very well. The lows are just that; low. However, the clarity of these match the IDQs at a fraction of the price. Buy these, you'll love the durability and freq response of these subs.

Amazing Subs!

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX102).

I have two of these subs in my Saturn l200. Hooked up is a 4000w (1000rms) Lanzar amplifier. The seats folded down creates some amazing sounds from these little subs. Two of my friends have 12s in their cars and mine hits harder than both

BestValue

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX102).

I got a pair of these in a sealed 1.5cubic feet box and and they hit nice and solid to only have 250 rms to each. I cannot not wait to get them break in to put 600rms to each and test them out in a ported box to see the spl difference; don't get me wrong but they are loud and clear as they are now.

Vega Baby!!!

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX102).

Awesome sub. Best in a ported box with lots of air it loves to move, just watch out not to overpower it because it moves so easy. It likes the low better than the high. For the price I think its a great deal. Not the best looking sub but it will thump. My brother in-law has 2 10" cvr's and he got mad when he heard my one out thump his 2 cvr's. It sounds like 2 10's or 2 12's. I'll be buying another one soon!!!!

Get more bang for your buck with this sub.

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX102).

Unbelievable sound from this sub. I was going to order two of them, but one has been plenty. I am running it on a JL Audio 900HD amplifier. It gets 500W from the sub channel, Wow! For the money I wouldn't buy any other sub. I have friends that are jealous of my 10" and they have JL 12" subs in their trucks. I do have this sub in an FJ cruiser so I am not losing any sound in a trunk.

Headache

The following review is for a previous version (VMX-10.2).

I purchased a 10" Vega V-Max dual 2 ohm sub and man it hits. I had a ported box built with the "correct" specs. that came with the subwoofer. It was rated at 600rms, which was a perfect match for my Crossfire vr600D amp that is producing about 900rms into one ohm (Crossfire underrate their items). I had it wired down to a 1-ohmm load. When I pull up people think I have 2 hard hitting 12's but the 1 ten is kickin @$$. Dang is what I hear. Thanks sonicx for this item and I recommend it

Amazing POWER from a 10"

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX3102).

Well, this is my first 10" woofer. I always have had either 2 12" or one 15"... but this thing can really bump. I am pushing roughly 900W RMS power to it with a Kenwood amp in a ported box. Keep in mind that you need a 9 1/4 inch diameter cut. Most of these pre-fabricated boxes only go 9" to be more versatile. I had it in a 1.2cf box and it didn't hit. Recently put in a 1.9 cft box and its way better.
