Crazy loud

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX122).

I have two cerwin vega V-Max122's in a ported box running 900 rms(450 rms to each) and they are incredibly loud. Everything in my car moves when i get a good hit. Great value for a reasonable price, and very loud. I highly recommend this sub to anyone who is looking for loud and good quality base.

P.S. my two cerwin vega V-Max's are louder than my friend's 15" power acoustic MOFO. & he had it running on a 3000 watt amp at 1700 watts rms.

Crazy loud

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX122).

This thing is almost to loud. I actually wish I would have gone with a 10". I am using a sealed box & I know most people dont use that so maybe that is adding to it. All in all its an amazing sub, I have always bought Cerwin-Vega & will continue to.

Graet speakers

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX122).

I ordered 4 12"CERWIN VEGA MAX 122's(subwoofers) for my sound system in my trunk of my caddy and they beat hard as I expected. CERWIN VEGA MAX 122's are the bomb and I highly reccomend these subs for you audio system. SonicELECTRONIX has the price to meet your needs and the warranty to match. A+ in my book

beasts of subwoofers.

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX122).

I have 2 installed in a ported bass slammer box running a PA BAMF 4000/1D amp at 2 ohms total resistance. I've tested them on music at 154db's in car. But when you dont want to blow out your ear drums they are musical and crisp even in a ported configuration. Most other subs in this price range are sloppy and cant keep up with electronic music or fast rock beats. These win my approval and beat out MTX, Alpine, RF, Pioneer, and Kicker for the price.

Great Value Sub

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX122).

I ran this for my friend in a 1.3 cubic foot vented box with polyfil. Hits harder and deeper than his old solobaric.
I have had 2 other people buy the same setup off me since then.
Great sub. Great price. Amazing construction. And super strong voice coils.
Highly recommended!

Great sub!

The following review is for a previous version (VMX12SVC).

I bought this sub with hopes, and you know what, Cerwin Vega kept it's reputation. I run 350 watts RMS 700 max to this thing, and it pounds. Nothing even comes close to this especially for the price. I'm a professional DJ that designs systems for nightclubs, schools, etc, and Cerwin Vega has always been a top choice, it wont let you down.

L0ud as hell!

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX122.2).

I have just one of these subs in my single cab ford ranger! With it hooked to a crunch 1050.2 amp its pushing 500 rms and 1000 max and this sub shakes my truck like crazy! Best 100 bucks iv ever spent! Outperforms the kicker 12 inch l5 it replaced. Hits low INCREDIBLY hard in my ported box and the highs as well! Friend recommended this sub and i Have NOTHING bad to say at all! Had for around 6 months now and still kicking as much ass as when i first got it!

oh my

The following review is for a previous version (VMX-12.2).

These subs are the best pound for the money you can get. I am running 2000 watts through them and they never miss a beat. Super fast response time for the metal heads. Best all around sub I have ever had. They look great too. I have mounted them in seled enclosures, slot ported boxes all with outstanding results.

Great Sub!

The following review is for a previous version (VMX-12.2).

The best sub i've owned to date. I've owned rockford fosgate, pioneer, and many others. C-V definately has a great bass response. I've only got it hooked up to a 300W/RMS x 1 2ohms amp. The amp doesn't even allow the sub to it's full potential. Great Product, worth the $105!

Horrible

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX3122).

I bought this cerwin vega vmax to match my hifonics amp which was rms at 1100 and the sub at 1200. I had it for about a month and burned out on me. Even when I was getting it installed the guy said the rms wasn't true so I basically overpowered the sub and lost 130 dollars. Just note that the rms isn't true and don't be fooled.

Vega fan for life!

The following review is for a previous version (VMAX3122).

I bought this sub only because the name and the fact that I have had 2 Cerwin Vega DX9s in my house for 22 years and just had to re-foam them. I was so impressed with the reliability and the "vega sound", I said what the heck, I give them a try on car audio....... WOW! This thing is a beast! Clear, crisp and very powerful. I paired it with the Cerwin Vega 1200 Wattt stealth amp wired down to 1 Ohm, also used two set of the Vega 6.5 on the 250/2 vega amp wired down to 2 Ohm. System Rocks. Thinking about doing a similar setup in one of my other cars .I will update if the durability level changes. only rated this a 4 on the ease of use because this is actually about a 12.5" speaker and did not mount in the standard sealed box that I had lying around. Not complaining, and no, they can't have it back!

Good for the price

I would recommend these to anyone on a budget, I bought these to replace the kicker comp R 12s. I run them on a kicker cx1200 so they get close to 500-600 rms at a 2ohm load. The only reason for 4 stars is that they are rated at 750watts rms each and the voice coil starts stinkin after playing for 15-20 minutes now. They haven’t blown or smoked yet but I feel like at 750watts rms they might.
