I got this for my 2009 Malibu with the Kenwood Excelon DNX6190HD and it works great, even in low light. I installed it myself along with the Clarion license plate frame and it took maybe 45 minutes to an hour. Now the biggest test is will it survive the Michigan weather

Clarion CCA644 back up camera adapter

This adapter cable works great and you must buy or fabricate one if you are going to use a back up camera with the NX 603. It is a shame that Clarion does not include it with the head unit.

Gotta buy it

Upon purchasing the Clarion NX605. This adapter must be purchased in order to use any aftermarket camera. The stereo doesn't come with a simple RCA style connection, they make you purchase the adapter. It works fine, just asking why they decided to make you spend even more money on a adapter when they could have easily changed the connection to what EVERY camera uses in the first place. Didn't want to rate more than the "value" but you can't submit the review without filling it all out.

Not the best decision

This is my third Clarion and definitely not the nest. It does not play discs (my bad, I didn't notice it while purchasing it), it doesn't play videos if inserted via usb or sd card. If you want to connect a rear view camera you have to buy an additional "special" cable. It does not include a remote control either, you have to buy it apart.

Great product

After getting a tech guy to install my reversing camera i was told that my car stereo which is from Japan had no input for the camera and he himself didn't know about it. But after several Google searches I came across this and I'm happy to say I installed it easy and it works flawlessly. I'm very happy

Good camera

Good camera for the price. I installed it on a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria LX and I like the way it gives somewhat of a factory look to the car.

Installed it on a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria LX with a Boss Audio head unit and never had any problems with it.

Unfortunately, because of the reversing lights position on the car, it causes a glare and makes it hard to see at night. I will need to make a cover type thing to put around the camera
