Alright

This unit is pretty good for the 79 bucks you pay for it. Although when you turn the radio on the signal goes in and out and makes listening to music kinda annoying. Its like the volume warbles a bit and its done this in three separate units. I would try to find a better one.

great on cd side terrible on radio side

If you are lookin for a great deal on cd players for your car this is it, but if radio stations is your thing stay away from this. I was in the drive way of my local station and it wouldn't even pull it in!!!!!

NICE

For the price of this deck it was well worth it, high quality...not a cheap plastic faceplate. I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!

BUMPIN !!!

The overall rating is a 4.6. Look and Design part was good but not the best. The only con was it needed a little more features. Other than that It was a great buy with never any complications whatsoever. And I would recommend this product to anyone trying to get the job done.

Clarion let me down

I installed this unit this past march in my sister's '92 Honda Accord as an OEM replacement and leading factor in a "bang for your buck" sound overhaul. As far as looks and functionality, this unit has been great. Very user friendly for my sister, who has very limited experience as far as stereos go. Great usability and simplistic beauty we all come to expect from Clarion, both audiophiles, enthusiasts, and noobs alike.

I would also like to confirm a shared concern with another reviewer, the signal on most, if not all radio stations does seem to fade in and out at times. I have heard if a few times, as it almost never happens when I drive the car, but my sister claims it to be so bad she doesn't even use the radio function of it at all anymore! I feel bad for installing a lemon HU in her car, which is quite bothersome since i put so much work into that sound system (custom built rear deck with no pre-wiring or speaker mounts in the rear, soundproofing throughout the truck, rear deck, and door panels, custom built subwoofer enclosure and amp rack, etc)

Long story short, if you have a lot riding on this unit, such as a more elaborate setup, take the safe route and pay a little more on a better head unit. if you are looking for a good bang for your buck, this will work but i would not recommend it as a first option or a final install.

You can't do better for the price

Was in the market for a head unit and I immediately looked at Clarion because they are one of the few company's that solely do car audio. While this unit is not feature laden it has simple functionality and great simplicity in aesthetic. What I like best about Clarion and this head unit is it shares the same components as the higher priced Clarions but just lacks some connectivity features and other non essential things. But the EQ options are the same and the quality is the same. This is basically a stripped down version of the best Clarion makes. I have Clarion throughout my vehicle and I am never disappointed by their products. also have Clarion EQ, Clarion crossover, Clarion sub, Clarion amp, Clarion 3way door speakers. You may find a feature rich unit at about the same cost but you'd be comparing apples to oranges. You would be hard pressed to find a better QUALITY head unit at this cost. Love the rotary volume/function knob as well. Couldn't be happier with my purchase of this receiver.
