I Love It

I bought this crossover to make my system sound cleaner and it does a great job of that. One thing thats really cool about this crossover is if you have a 4 channel amp for highs you can just run one set of rcas to the crossover and it will work for the front and rear speakers. my system sounds super clean now highly recommended

Crossovers

This crossover has superior sound quality and power. I have a precision power frx in my car which has front tweeters, mids, and subwoofer. It also has rear tweeters and mids. The clarion crossover competes with it in quality but gives my system more power with its higher output voltage. This clarion is awesome and i am going to get another for my rear speakers which will make it just like my precision power crossover, but with more power. You might wonder why i am doing that, it's because i love to have my speakers separate, front tweeters and rear tweeter on 1 amp, front mid and rear mid on 1 amp. Buy this clarion crossover without fear from Sonic because it is worth buying and Sonic has the best price.

From since I got into car audio, this has been a must have for good clean sound from high to ultra low frequency. I have this along with a eqs746 and i have total control over my frequency control and acoustics. This has been in many of my friends cars as well as in mine and most of the guys in the spl competition. Recommend for all who love clean loud rich music. It also helps to add volume from what you lose from having an eq. Have had it now for about two years.

Great crossover

for the money u cant go wrong with this crossover. its still running my 3 amp system perfectly for almost a year now with no problems. my only prob with it is the crossover knobs, they should add more tick marks to let u know where ur at. the hpf on the front channel literally jumps from 70 Hz to 400Hz with no ticks in between so its hard to judge just where exactly the hpf is set at.

Excellence From Clarion

I am very impressed with crossover. Very adjustable controls and settings for a multitude of system configurations. It really brings the system to life, especially when tuning your bass. I highly recommend this unit and will be using it for years to come.

i never thought i was gonna get a better sounding system before this clarion crossover came about before the crossover i had a pioneer flip-out headunit which was already without a doubt amazing, so i figured i wouldnt really need anything else since it already sounded crisp and clear.all though all of that went out the window when i installed this Clarion crossover it was a little clearer and had finetuned my mids and highs so now it was even louder! , but still clear. I would definetly recommend this product to any one who loves music especially loud and clear music like me.

Amazing product

Used this product in conjunction with my Alpine ida-x305S, while an amazing headunit, has 2v pre-outs! Luckily, this handy little device not only cleans up my signal, it also puts out 5v pre-outs!

NOTICEABLY louder to the ear, and last I metered, I was hitting a 147.2 legal. Bass is definitely cleaner as my headunit is not being driven as hard.

As for my highs/mids, the clarity and "tightness" or "dampening factor/deadness" is definitely more noticeable after adding a stronger signal--again, probably attributed to my headunit being at a lower volume now.

Overall, EXTREMELY happy with this product and I definitely foresee myself buying another in the near future.

Decent for what it does

I bought this to run on my JBL 6.5 component set in the front and Infinity Kappa 6.5's in the rear and a 12 inch sub powered by a Fosgate monoblock amp.
I wanted this unit mainly because my 4 channel MTX amp only offers fixed high pass crossover points at 85hz which I wanted to have more flexibilty with. It gives me that flexibility on the crossover points.
I decided to try running my sub through it to see if it would improve the sound over the built in x-over and 45hz boost in the Fosgate amp. It didn't. After spending well over an hour adjusting it tons of different ways, the bottom line was that using the Fosgate amp's controls was superior.
Maybe if you have an amp without any bass boost or a variable crossover control, you would see a nice improvement. If you have a quality amp with the controls already built in, save your cash unless you are just flat out unhappy with the sound.
All in all, if you need the adjustments this crossover offers, it will do the trick. I'm just a bit skeptical that it was worth double the price of some of the other crossovers on this site.

I like it

Note that this unit cannot bandpass and I'm using it for a three-way system up front. My 4" mids blend really nice with my tweeters just being high-passed. For the money it can't be beat.

To anyone who is reading this review, do yourself your system and your ears a favor and get this beautiful magical piece of equipment. I got it and my heavens its a big step up from that lazy boss bx35. If u ask me boss dont make good HU'S or processors, maybe their amps, but back to the topic. The CLARION MCD 360 is a must have for your car audio system. People think i have two 15's in my trunk and im only running two 10" kickers 2010 models. Short just buy this unit and prepare to b amazed!!!!!

What a difference!!!!

Bought a different crossover a week prior to buying the MCD60. System was week and had a humming noice. I ordered the MCD60 and voila totally different sounds were being heard....this is a must have! Oh and I busted a 12 CVX after hooking it up. Be careful...lol

Good sound great features and compact . It lowers the bass just as good as epiccenter clarion is great quality.

Clarion MCD360

This is a great product if you want more frequency control or a 9v line driver. This is more valuable if you have a single pre-out as you can split the frequencies into high's, mid's, and low's. The subwoofer controls are very handy. I found the remote bass knob to be very handy when installed with my previous amp which did not have a knob option.

I haven't noticed any distortion at all. With the gains set half way on all my gear its enough to make your ears hurt.

All in all, I am extremely pleased with my purchase and I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to take their setup to the next level.

I have a high end system but because of money , i thought i would try this product and it has everything you would need in this. It has great highs and mids and bass. Great for beginners to high end systems.

I recently purchased a new punch amp that has a 'bass boost' control.I purchased this crossover because i needed a volume control.thought my music sounded great using the crossovers built in my HU and amps,but it was much clearer and louder after installing this unit.i'm convinced now that even if you have name brand HU's or amps,external crossovers give you the best sound!it has 18db crossover points and i find the range on the bass boost frequency(20-100hz),very useful.my ported box is tuned'low'and i was able to get the higher bass tones to sound great as well.excellent crossover.

Great crossover, great value, easy to use

This product is simple to use, much less complicated than other crossovers I have had. The instructions explain exactly how to hook it up for any system configuration, so you don't have to be a professional installer to use it. The remote bass control is a must for trunk mounted applications so you can turn the bass up or down from the cabin area. I shopped for quality and price and this unit is a great value for what you get. I doubt a crossover at any price would perform better unless you need to hook up more than 3 amps.

Best Clarity You\'ll ever hear

This crossover is really cleans your music up...talking about hearing music with a difference...well whats really sick on this equipment is the subwoofer channel....trust me its a knock out....to add to it a 5 volt boost to your system what else could you ask for? ..and the brand of course clarion...but if you\'re not getting what you should in your music, and you want it to be clearer...try this crossover...its great

Good Product

I would recommend this product to anyone who loves clear loud and hard hitting systems. I have this crossover hooked up to 3 tens and they only 600 watts...but yet still people wit 12's have to turn there music up to at lease try 2 tune me out lol this product makes ur system sound like you dont nothing else when u really dont....best value

Proper highs, Deep lows, and crisp mids

This crossover works very well; hooked it to two sony XM N1004 for mids and highs and a Planet Audio Anarchy series AC3000.1D. the Bass boost function works great at 40Hz.It could however work better with a band pass for the mids; i.e capping the mids at say 3000HZ instead of an open spectrum for mids

good crossover for lows

this is a good product, especially because it offers complete tuning for your subs i have it on a planet audio bb2400.1 on two 12 type r's in a custom 3 cu ft. box tuned to 32 hz, it allowed me to tune the bass boost to my boxes tuning. It now play low smooth and loud! my rear view and windshield/roof get a beating . highly recommend it , oh and a tip dont turn the boost up too much about a 1/4 turn or so, i have mine controlled by a clarion eqs746. good luck!

Clarion MCD360

If you want added control and clarity to your system then, this is the cross over for you. Works awesome, haven't had a problem like feed back through the rcas like a lot of the cheap ones give you and the adjust ability is great. Another great product that sonic offers. Buy it, install it, and thank me later.

Fantastic Sound and Value

Replaced an older active 3-way with this unit. I could't believe the difference. It imparted a clarity that was missing, and I didn't even know it. Installed in the center console, and use the controls to tweak the settings for each album. Real easy to do without even looking down. The features built into such a small footprint are amazing. The separation of the tweets, mids and subs is very tight, and with a bit of overlap, the soundstage is seamless, even in a pickup truck. Highly recommend this X-over, and Sonic Electonix was a joy to deal with.

Hey , let me say this I've bought many crossovers but this is the top dog. I have a Kenwood with 3 rca 2.5 volt output pre amp , a Brutus brx 2000 pushing 2 alpine 15 s type R, and a Zeus 1000 pushing 4 6/5 pioneer , and 4 6x9 pioneer 3 ways.this system played OK , but it just seems like it was missing something. I tried 2 different crossovers no change, a friend at a sound shop told me about the clarion MCD 360 crossover and this thing has the glasses in my 2003 Tahoe flexing buy it now look no further!!!!!!!

Works great

This brought the system together for me every thing sounded seprete before,gives an overall tightness to the sound,works great with the 746.if I did not ad amps I would not need this.so just like addin a amp for my highs and an amp for my bass this is an amp for my crossovers,makes it complete because u are amping up the rest makes sense

This is a very powerful and versitile crossover. It gives you everything you need in a crossover. I was able to turn my hifonics BRZ 2400 watt amp
down bc of the volts this crossover puts out. My box it tuned at 32hz for that deep bass. This crossover brings out the very best in your system.

Excellent crossover for the money with one flaw

Great crossover for the money however if it could have been much more flexible if Clarion would have simply added a x10 switch to the midrange section. This would have allowed a person to use his deck or amp to take out the lows from the mids while the crossover could have then been setup to take out the highs. Not sure why Clarion didn't integrate this feature, I certainly would have been willing to pay an extra 20%. Other than that it seems to be well built and performs as described.

I was happy with this running on a pioneer 5 channel. it helped fix alot of the sound issues with the cheap amp. it was easy to adjust and made everything sound so much better and its small enough to hide out of view if you wish
