I have a Clarion M109 stereo in my boat which, is out of the box, compatible with the Clarion RCB176; I use the remote when I'm swimming or hanging out on the water; I don't have to climb back into the boat every time I want to adjust my music. I mounted the RCB176 just above my swim platform; it's a very handy item own. It works from any angle and from a fairly long distances. I am very satisfied with this item and with Sonic Electronix; I highly recommend both.

Saved buying a new radio
I ordered this remote because the original Clarion remote on the deck of my 22 year old Searay boat had quit working and I couldn't control the radio from outside the cabin. I figured it was either the remote not sending or the radio itself that was not receiving commands. Took a chance, ordered this one and it works like a charm! It's not the exact same size as the original, but has all the functionality of the original. I can put off replacing the whole radio for a few more years!
