AWESOME speakers for the size!
I've always been a huge fan of Kenwood car speakers, and have tried to use them exclusively in all my car audio projects... until I gave a listen to these Clarion's! OMG! These are the best sounding front door speakers I believe I have ever had in any car, and I've been a car audio nut since back in the 70's (you remember, the days when Kraco and Spark-O-Matic were "top of the line"! LOL!). So yes, being in my mid-50's I've heard many car speakers. Like I mentioned, it used to be Kenwood as often as possible because their speakers always seemed to have a wider frequency response, and often times had greater sensitivity. Apparently Kenwood has gone downhill over the years in their speakers, and Clarion has taken over as the leader (or at least my new favorites!). I'm very familiar with the Clarion name, having owned a few Clarion head units over the years and now currently running a Clarion EQS746 7-band equalizer in my car.
So YES, I'm VERY happy with these speakers!!! When I decided to buy them, I had 4 Kenwood KFC-1664S speakers in my car. They sounded good, and had decent highs. But very little lows. And they tended to distort pretty easy. So I started looking for replacements. I'm not a guy who just looks at price or watts. I look more for frequency response and efficiency. I made a list of about 10 different possible choices of 6.5's before slowly narrowing my choice down to the SRG1623R's. EXCELLENT CHOICE!
And if you think I like these front speakers, wait until you read my review of the rear 6x9 Clarions I installed in my car! OMG times 2!

only costs a nickel worth a dime
replaced all 4 stock speakers in my 2005 Jeep Liberty with these units. For the price they are unbeatable. I think they work as good as $90/pair speakers I bought for a previous vehicle. Mids and highs are very clear, and bass is as good as you can get from a 6 1/2" speaker with a factory head unit. I plan to install a factory sub to fix the bass issue. Highly recommend these speakers, note that they do NOT come with adapter rings to mount in a 6 3/4" opening. They mounted ok without the ring, but just barely.

Noticeably better than stock speakers
I am in the process of installing them in the doors of my 2007 Honda Accord and am impressed at the sound compared to the stock door speakers. The magnet is about 10 times larger which accounts for the louder volume and noticeably louder bass, being rated at 91 dB Sensitivity.
They are rated at 30 - 30,000 Hz but being so small, 6.5 inch diameter, the bass drops off below 60 Hz and the radio bass has to be boosted to hear the low notes, but they do crank out the bass compared to the stock 6 inch speaker. They are clearly shallow mount speakers that was not stated in the advertisement so they should fit in most car doors.
The stock Accord door speakers are an integral part of the plastic assembly and are not removable from the assembly. Meaning there is no metal speaker in the plastic assembly. It IS the assembly which is designed to quickly pop into the door at the factory.
The Shallow depth of the Clarions accounts for the stiffer cone and slightly less bass with no bass boost. They are able to put out clearer sound where I can hear the instruments instead of the music better than the stock car speakers.
I hooked one up to my house theater quality stereo and in a baffle. They sound compatible to my Marantz home theater speakers if you do not compare them to the resounding bass the 13 inch woofers put out. The 6X9 speakers I installed in the back of the car (old Jensen's) crank out resounding bass on this stock radio. This stock radio has an advertised 50 watts RMS, not peak and believe me it will hurt if you turn it up. This makes it worthwhile to install quality speakers.
The Clarions do not exactly fit the door openings of the Honda Accord but with a little modification to the door speaker opening they will fit. I can either gut the plastic speaker mounts and install them in the plastic assembly if I grind out the plastic to accommodate them, or grind out the metal in the door and mount them directly. Having installed many speakers in my many cars over the years I expected to do some additional work to get them to fit.

Clarion Clear !
I purchased the 6.5inch pair for door speakers in my classic car, where none existed before though the openings & grilles were available. These installed easily. They included the speaker clips and a section of lead wire which made things easier. I purchased these based on the info provided, comparing power handling, frequency response & sensitivity. The best value at the best price point. Combined with a Clarion amp, and rear 5x7s with an aftermarket headunit the system sounds great - very happy.

Perfect fit
Bought these to replace the old stock speakers in a blue bird school bus. They fit perfectly into the factory openings and were just shallow enough. I'm not entirely fond of the design of the cover or how it's attached but for the price and the application these were the best ones out there. Sound quality is pretty good too.

Nice speaker for the price
Replaced the rear door speakers on my 2001 Dodge RAM 2500. They fit with no modification and sound way better than the stock speakers.

Good stock replacement w/newer head unit
I bought my vehicle (95 nissan hardbody) with a newer head unit and stock speakers. One by one the stockers blew out so it was time to change them out. I decided to go budget with some coax. The dimensions on these are pretty tight (a good thing) so I wanted to make them work with a little modding in front and rear (stockers were 4" and 5.25"). Given the hz range, impedance, cost, and dimensions, I think they are a good value. The CEA-2031 compliance doesn't hurt either. The bass is a bit hollow but sound deadening would've helped here because my trucks skin is like a tin can. Not the speakers fault. My only complaint is the covers leave a little exposed on the bottom. For door speakers, I think this is a potential hazard. Otherwise, I like them!

Bang for the buck,
installed in a 2005 F150 FX4 Supercab. Easy enough installation with a speaker adapter kit purchased from this SOnic Electronix.
Good performance for the money spent, but you will need a separate sub, as things get distorted after a while at louder volumes, and bass reroduction isn't that great at lower volumes.

My second Pair
I replaced a cheap pair of speakers, and added a second set using these 1621R's in an Arctic Fox 19' travel trailer, and I replaced the stock radio with a Kenwood 50WX4. Installation came out fine and the tunes sound like they are coming through speakers costing twice as much. I spend summers visiting various parts USA in my travel trailer. My review comes after using these speakers "daily" for the past three months, playing classic rock. In a small area, like my trailer, I could not ask for higher quality or a better value for my speakers.

Ok for the $$
These speakers are mounted the cabin of my boat. They sound ok to good. I’m not as happy with the SRG1621R as I thought I would be. I will replace them with a higher quality next season.

Good OEM Rear Speaker Replacement for Isuzu Rodeo Sport
Good value! I would recommend the Clarion SRG1623R 6 1/2" Coaxial 2-Way speakers to replace the OEM rear seat speakers on the 2001 Isuzu Rodeo Sport. The sound is so much better and clearer than the original speakers, with noticeably stronger bass as well as better high range clarity with the built in tweeters. The speakers fit easily, but I had to use tin snips to remove the outer edge mounting prongs to obtain proper fitment. Metra 71-035L speaker wiring harness adapters worked perfectly for this replacement install.

Not even a year?
I purchased these speakers around September of 2015. I impedance matched an amp running about 100 watts peak per channel to each speaker. Specs say 230 watts max but two of them are blown already. Turned it up but definitely didn't max it out. Kind of upset but 35 bucks a pair they aren't bad speakers. Clarity is great when they aren't blown.

Great Value!
I purchased these speakers for replacements for my worn out OEM speakers in my 2007 Civic. These speakers are noticeably better than the stock ones and produce a loud, crisp sound. Very impressed with the quality. Will purchase again.

Sir
Speakers are a good value, efficiency is good, comparable to Pioneer and Cerwin Vega so they play loud with stock head unit. Frequency response gives full sound with accurate highs and adequate bass for speaker size. Huge improvement over GM stock speakers. Have used for about one month, first Clarion's I have used and am satisfied so far, but cannot rate reliability.
6.5 - 3 way.

Exellent Value
Installed Clarion SRG1623R in front doors wifes Zx2 with premium sound and factory amp. Immediate improvement was noticed. Treble and mid range were there and not bright just smooth natural sound. The real shocker was the bass coming from these. Am sure they have improved as had time for breaking them in but wife does not comment unless something needs fixed.

Sounds Great
These had the best frequency response I found in a 6.5" speaker, good power handling, and a 2-way design for under $30. I was sold on paper, and now that I have installed them and can hear the difference over the stock speakers, I would buy them again, and again. I have only had them installed for a month, so I can't say much as to the durability, but I installed baffles with them to limit their exposure to the elements, and I expect them to last the lifetime of the car.

Great front speakers for 07 Accord
These are great replacement speakers. They sound good off the factory head unit. Easy installation if you use the speaker adaptors for your car.
Nice sound
I like this product low wattage easy to install. Sounds nice and clear i have 50 watts rms running to them a little high but they don't distort. ... i would recommend them to someone else for a normal person and car nothing super duper crazy
Nice speakers
Speaker work great. I'd heard the Clarion name over the years associated with high quality. These speakers did not betray the reputation. They sound great.
