Perfect to add some beat under the seat

Works great to add some supplemental low end and fits nicely under the seat.

Good for adding some depth

I installed in my car, through high speaker input, with a on/off switch and a relay through the remote 12V input from the Head Unit; so when I want to add more bass, I turn it on. I like its the low energy consumption, just a few amps ( I have an ammeter that shows it).
The sound is not very powerful, it is a 6,5 inch sub, but it fits my needs, fulfilling the gap from a pair of 6 inch coaxial and 6 inch component speakers. If you want a more powerful sub, buy a 8 or 10 or 12 inch, though drawing a lot more current obviously. Quality is very good, no distortion, first I connected before the amp, but then the sound was low compared to the rest, and then later I connected after the amp, although not recommended, but I keep the volume at 35 to 45%, and I mostly use the amp for enhancing the sound quality than to hearing it extremely loud. The remote is a plus, with ranging frequency, 60 to 120hz if I remember correctly, so you can find the spot you like, according to the music and personal taste.
Buy it if you want to add some bass, don't buy it if you want a very powerful, car shaking bass.

Great Item

If you are looking for a great powered sub woofer look no further.
I wanted a small powered sub woofer that would give me nice bass response but not to much and the Clarion SRV250 delivers.

Not the best value

I have owned two different brands of 8 inch under seat subwoofers having excellent results. Since the Clarion has a smaller woofer, I actually bought two of these. I put one under each front seat of a Tacoma. The difference with or without the subs on was hardly audible while driving. They are very small and do help slightly with rounding out the sound, however I could only recommend this product if space is an issue. The Clarion sub is very small (you could almost fit two under each seat). Even with the gain set at the maximum level, sound output is very quiet, and frequency response says 35Hz but I would not agree. If these are turned up loud enough to enjoy they will clip and distort. Go for something with a larger woofer.

Perfect

I wanted a little more low range to compliment a speaker / amplifier / navigation head unit upgrade to my 20 year old 4 wheel drive. Space was the concern being only a extended cab. Aesthetics, we're also a minor concern due to the low clearance under my drivers seat and the unit would have to be exposed. Long story short, this unit turned out to be perfect in almost every category including price. The lows are..satisfying!
