FYI

The following review is for a previous version (RSX3.5).

Pros: this is a decent alarm, I’m using it in a basic configuration because I don’t have no power locks / windows etc. It also has a pretty good (unobstructed line of site) range of about 2 to 2.5block radius.
The remote seems to work great to. The Remote start works great, it usually starts my car in the 1st attempt. It doesn’t hold the starter on too long either, just enough to get it started (with out causing any damage)

Cons: this is not the cheapest unit, it only came with one transmitter, reasonable priced replacement transmitters are hard to find (when they 1st came out). DEI wants so much for a replacement 2 way transmitter. That it’s the same price as buying the alarm all over again from this site. The remote doesn’t have a quick one touch button for back light or vibrate mode. And the 2 way transmitter that sounds when you’re car is going off isn’t loud. It’s just beeps, when another brand I was using had a loud baby siren sound

Clifford Rsx3.5 Alarm System

The following review is for a previous version (RSX3.5).

This system i just order because my friend have one. It very easy to use and installation is a breeze if you bring it to a shop. The range of the response lcd is awesome. That the reason why i baught one. This is one of the best alarm in the market and don't take my word for it, try it yourself.

Clifford Matrix 50.5X

Excellent Product, but only one remote supplied, additional remote is expensive. Battery for remote is easy to find (type AAA) and usually lasts about a month with moderate usage.

Installation is a real PAIN so I would recommend a very good friend who is an automotive electrician or be ready to shell out a fair amount of dough for a professional.... But trust me, you can damage your car if you don't know EXACTLY what you are doing when you install.

Clifford Matrix 50.5x rocks

I was going to get the viper 5900 but it was back ordered so I ordered this alarm instead. Im sure glad the viper was back ordered :)

This is the same alarm system as the 5900 except it comes with a cool carbon fiber covered remote and the viper has a cheesy blue remote. Otherwise they are identical. The alarm works great. Includes a shock sensor for when people mess with your ride and the install was very easy. I haven't tried long range testing with it but I was able to receive signals from my truck from anywhere inside walmart while shopping which surprised me since the cellphone doesn't work inside there much.

Excellent alarm, thanks again sonic electronix for a wonderful shopping experience!!!

best out there

If you are looking for a straight forward no-nonsense remote auto start, then this is the one for you. while it is not feature rich with a lot of bells and whistles, it is VERY reliable. If properly installed you will never have any problems with this unit. the range on the remote is about 1000 feet in the areas i use it in. I was expecting more. but then there are few time I am more than that away from my car. And most likely it is an antenna location issue and not a unit or remote issue. The price on this unit is unreal too.
