Beats $500 for a custom kit..

First off the last 2 reviews are true in a way but BS. Instructions are for people who DONT know what they are doing. True installers do not NEED instructions. This is a pretty straight forward kit to install. Don't have to be a rocket scientist. Yes the kit is a very tight fit but works very well for what it is. I would prefer this type of install. Kit matches the dash very well in texture and design.

Good kit to use.

Don't bother

I've received two of these so far and both were broken in shipping. The plastic tabs on the trim piece are flimsy and won't hold up to shipping. Overall the kit is seriously over priced and it doesn't even come with instructions. Your better off buying the pioneer double din kit for 1/3 the price.

typical made in china quality

This product was extremely disappointing. Very expensive for the dollar-store level quality.
It promised to fit a double DIN stereo into my Benz ML500 without modification. What a joke.
It didn't come with instructions or proper mounting hardware. Required some dremmel and drill work to make fit....thank god I'm not new to this game or it would have been a disaster.
The trim ring came with 2 of 4 tabs broken, and the remaining 2 broke during installation.
Considering the super high cost of this item, one would expect FAR better.

Stay away! Go with anything else.

Hard to find but necessary to do M-class installation properly

The factory M class double DIN radios were ok back in the day but audio technology now is much more advanced than those factory installed antiques. The factory installation pieces can be used to install a new radio but they seldom look right or properly secure the radio. We bought this kit to install an Alpine radio and it worked perfectly. The quality and fit was excellent. If you are having trouble getting a good fit with the old factory parts when installing a new radio, we definitely recommend this kit to do the job and look professional.
