Bought a used truck with a Crimestopper sub-brand system installed. One remote, pretty battered, and HUGE. With these new remotes, it's like driving a modern vehicle. Programming was very easy--I looked the ins tructions up online, they don't come in the package. The one "gotcha" is that, in my case anyway, the vehicle has to be actually running, not just "key in on position"
