Not as good as the OEM backup cam on my Ram truck.

I have had this backup camera for over month now and I'm looking to change it for something else. Night vision is OK to mediocre and the problem I can't get around of is it keeps fogging up. When it rains or when washing the car, sometimes it takes up to 2 days to clear up. When not fogged up daytime it is excellent.
Also the distance lines seems to low, I have tried different angles but can't seem to get it right. One more thing it does look bulky on the license plate.

Not Sure

Developed moisture after about 1 month after installation. Up to that point I was very impressed with the quality. Now the moistue has made the unit defective and need to return. Hopefully it's just a defective unit that needs to be fixed and that Sonic stands behind their product.

What can I see, its cheap and plastic, but it works. Its kinda big as well.

Good camera

This camera is not bad for the money. At night though, its more black and white than color, due to it's night vision. It's clear, but not the clearest I've seen.

Great Image.

Have it connected to a pioneer 2 din unit. Easy to install, looks a bit bulky, but not to the point were it stands out a lot.

Great Product!

Definitely would recommend this product if you do not want to spend a ton of money to have someone drill holes in your vehicle to install a camera or sensor system. Clear viewing when backing up and very accurate. Love it.

Not for night or bad weather

This camera has white halo effect around edges at night (maybe caused by reverse lights) This condition expands with any type of moisture (fog or rain) and makes the camera almost useless when you need it most, at night and bad weather.

I finally got this Camera hooked up because of bad weather, it took longer than i expected, but it works. I would recommend it.

Great Value and Clear View

I replaced an earlier version of a crimestopper back up camera because I wanted the upgraded license plate mounted version. It was easy to install and provides a wide, clear view during the day and night. I can't be more pleased with it.

Easy to install. Finding the back up wire was the hardest part.

Worth the money

The only issue that I had with this product was that the video cord was too short for my 2005 Silverado Extended cab short wheel base. You need to buy an extra 20ft video cable if you want a one piece cable, IMO. Camera is pretty clear at night. I put Rain-X on the lens to help with moisture and dust. Backup lines are accurate. Very simple to install. I will buy again. I used two pieces of shrink wrap around the video and power connection close to the camera.

Works great

Installed real easy. Did not mount on license plate but mounted just above. Perfect spot for 3/4 ton silverado. Scale was perfect, all I had to do was aim camera. Scale for when real close to object was matched with back up object alarm on truck.

Bought this to replace an earlier version of the same camera. Good value for the price with decent quality. The last one lasted over 2 years and I expect this one to last the same if not longer. There are better cameras out there but not at this price point.
