I have owned 2 of these subs for a couple of years now. It seems like they just get louder and louder over time. I push them to high power levels and they keep on taking it. I run 2 BRX 2400.1ds strapped at about 3/4 gain on the master amp and they do it!!!! I can't see buying another subwoofer to use for high SPL and would highly recommend this sub to anyone. They do require a large enclosure so make sure that you have the room to house them.

JVC AV-31BT double din 6.2
hifonics 5.25 inch components
6 26 hour sealed batteries

More power and deep bass for your money!
I am most impressed, by my new out of the box 18 in 2 ohm stable dual vc dc subwoofer. Freshly installed attention geeting investment!
