I bought these speakers without hearing them and I am blown away by the quality of the speaker and these are built like a tank. The magnet on these speakers is pretty beefy for a component speaker. I have the speakers hooked to a JL HD400/4 and this combo works great. The amp powers the speakers pefectly they can get so loud that I can't turn the volume up all the way. I thought I would be needing to put a set of 8" or 10" subs in but these put out really clean bass hits and now I am glad I did not buy subs too. I will say your music collection better not be 128kb mp3s because they sound dead and 320kb mp3s sound just like a cd. Oh and I am running everything from a Kenwood excelon KDC-X995 head unit. Speakers are the clearest I have ever heard and as long as DLS is in business I will own nothing else. Now I am looking to buy a set of DLS UX series speakers for the rear to complete my cars sound.
