Wow!
Interesting speaker. At first I didn't like them, tried a few other good ones and then went back.
They are neutral sounding, natural and work well with jazz, easy listening, and big band. They did not work with metal, or dubstep. Bass response is poor, mids are big and highs are muted. Stereo imaging is subdued.
But you can throw a lot of good watts at them, and they remain calm like no other. Very clean, no distortion. Old school speaker, for sure. They can be played extremely loud. With a sub, they are fantastic for older analogue music.

Decent
I was told this pair would replace my SC95 by Boston Acoustics. NO. However, they do have some pros.
Pros: Decent bass, good for pop, rock, country and talk radio.
Cons: Not for critical listening. Not good for Jazz, Techno, etc. They need some extra detail. For you JVC head unit owners, the best setting for these are "Natural". Most people complain that Natural is too bright, but not for these.
